"I'm dreaming of a cozy little cottage, tucked away near stunning parkland. I don’t need much—just the essentials: a comfortable bed, a bathroom, a small kitchen for preparing meals, and maybe a screened porch where I can sit outside and soak in the surroundings. A non-smoking, pet-free space is a must, and a small campfire would be the perfect touch for unwinding under the stars. I've heard Mentone is a hidden gem, a true escape into nature, and that sounds exactly like what I want. The thought is exciting—does such a place exist?
And if there’s a water feature, like a small pond for fishing, that would be even better."

Bobbie and Ray are fantastic host: from booking to check-out we felt welcome and cared for. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the cottage and property. Everything one could possibly need they provided. The cottage was spotlessly clean, and the bed was so comfortable. The shower!! The shower is amazing! It is so evident that Bobbie and Ray truly have hearts for hospitality. We look forward to staying at each one of their properties during future visits!

Very cozy & private. Extremely quiet. We enjoyed walking around the pond and sitting on the bench. In the afternoon it was very pleasant watching the sunset on the back screened in porch. The cottage was very clean.And Ray and Bobbie were very attentive to our needs.

Great place for a quiet, unplugged weekend.

My husband and I took a weekend away from ATL to hike in the area but bad weather forced us indoors. We were very comfortable during our “rain delay” weekend. I always like to offer insider information in my reviews for those who read the reviews carefully so this time I’ll say we would have very much enjoyed the grounds if the weather had cooperated. Bring a frisbee! Bring a big blanket for a picnic outside! Bring charcoal for the grill! Sad we didn’t get to do those things or even enjoy the screened in porch. But we did enjoy a full day on the sofa under a blanket with books! Wifi and cell service were very spotty. Download what you need ahead of time - including directions to the cottage.

Cozy and peaceful

I really enjoyed staying here! I decided to come by myself and just get some peace, quiet, and relaxation. It was very comfortable. Loved the shower. A few Japanese beetles decided to come in, but no big deal as I get them sometimes at my home. Cell service is spotty, but to be honest....it was actually a blessing to be able to kind of disconnect. I will definitely be re-booking here in the near future! Thank you guys so much!

Perfect for Couples

This property was a cozy cottage with everything you need for a weekend getaway. We were greeted by the friendlist of dogs while entering the grounds. The cottage was well stocked and also a few treats left by the owners. We will definitely return.

Cute Cottage

This Cottage was so quaint and cute for a couple looking for a peaceful retreat! We were 10 minutes from DeSoto and Little River Falls! It was gorgeous and Bobbi and Ray were great to communicate with! Would definitely stay here again!

Mountain Meadow Cottage

It was fantastic!! Spent a relaxing weekend away to celebrate my husband's birthday!! Cottage was cute and homey!! Ray and Robbie made check in and out easy. They were responsive to texts and you knew you were talking to a person not a pre-planned response from a property management company. Ray even came out to help me park in the rain and dark. Would recommend!!!
