Super friendly staff. Nice clean hotel. Breakfast was everything you'd need and the fancy coffee maker makes some of the best coffee in BC. Would stay again. 10/10

MountainView Hotel was a lovely spot to stop for the night in Merritt. Rooms are simple but clean; staff is attentive and courteous. Breakfast waffles are a must. The area itself a bit sus.

The hotel has had a refit and looks good its not high end but either is the price ,i will come back ,the airconditioner in my room wasnt cold ,but i was happy with how clean it is

For $161.00 we were given a sparsely furnished room with one queen bed. The advertisement on Expedia said a room for 4 people (Queen bed and pull-out couch). It was the most expensive, had the fewest ammenities, and was the least welcoming of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip from Vancouver Island through to Alberta. When I spoke to the girl at the desk she said "do you really need a couch" and "how would I know there was no couch in the room". Then, "it was likely a dirty couch and was taken out for cleaning. Do you want a dirty couch". The girl was not the least bit welcoming to the point of being rude. On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was small but newly renovated. This experience made us wary of booking online unless we had booked the hotel/motel before, or it was a member of a chain. I want to get what I paid for without argument.
