This place was an absolute gem hidden in Pewaukee. It is not on the lakefront, but not far at all, and its location makes it super convenient as it is not far from the interstate. While other commenters mentioned the train, I was not distracted by it at all, except when it went by during the night.Parking in the back was nice and there is a small garage too.The home is decorated beautifully, but it does have old bones. Some of the floors aren't entirely level, and some of the wooden doors are a little bit hard to open or close, but that's what you get with a home like this with so much character. None of that was an issue.I spent the vast majority of my time in the primary living room, the sitting room (bummer the fireplace didn't work for me - likely just a bad battery in the remote), and in the bedroom closest to the street (TV there turned on, but FireTV didn't work). There were lots of spaces to explore, and I loved leaving the door open to the screened-in porch for a nice breeze. The kitchen was AMAZING (water filter needs to be changed for the fridge line, but I found the water bottles the next day) and the half bath there was convenient but TINY, so keep that in mind. Love the number of bedrooms and the variations in the mattresses (felt like Goldilocks picking the right one). The only minor complaint I had was the shower - water pressure wasn't great - I have thick hair and had to section it to get it completely wet. Lovely spot for a quick getaway
