We spent two nights at Miyama Sanso after a whirlwind 10 days making our way west from Tokyo. It was the perfect retreat after many days on our feet. The facilities are spotless and the property itself is gorgeous. Beyond the tranquility and picturesque surroundings, the warm, kind, and attentive staff made our stay all the more pleasant and relaxing. They made sure to arrange for transport to and from the hotel and planned an excursion for guests to the main area of Kurokawa Onsen. They also went above and beyond to accommodate our challenging dietary restrictions and made sure we always had a delicious selection of dishes during meals, which elevated the experience. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. I look forward to returning!

Luxurious beautiful stay

Enjoyed our luxurious stay. Everyone was so friendly and kind. The property and area are beautiful. We booked a room with a private bath to add to the luxury. Also a bit shy being westerners so got to enjoy a lot of baths without feeling uncomfortable. Food was good and presentation was gorgeous. Almost too much for us but that seems to be standard with kaiseki meals!

너무좋았어요 경치도 예쁘고 방도 넓고깨끗 직원분들도 너무 친절하고 가이세키 맛도 좋고 깔끔! 알러지와 날것을 못먹는 아내를 위한 요리등 배려해주셔서 감사했습니다 유황온천 덕분인지 피부도 너무 보드랍고 가려움증이 많던 피부였는데 구로카와에서 숙박하는동안 한번도 가려웠던적이없었어요!! 정말 행복한 여행이었습니다😺

Great time

It was bit confusing for the directions as there were another ryokannext door. Signs should be clearer. Our rooms and facilities werevaguely introduced n the communual onsen closed quite early. After dinner there were no time to go the open air one. The rooms were quite dusty Hiwever miyamasanso was very private and comfortable. The suites weee so relaxing the pricate obsenwas wonderful, really big with the western style rooms. Dinner was great despite the breakfast wasnt worth it.

30年程前に山みず木に宿泊、別邸の深山山荘は初めて　夕飯時に同日の宿泊者が多かった事がわかってビックリしたほど、とても静かで隣接の音も全く聞こえずゆっくり部屋や大浴場も楽しめた 部屋風呂と川沿いの庭も素晴らしい、部屋も広く快適に過ごせた 夕食は口コミ等、あまり表記も少なかったので期待せずに伺いましたが、味、内容の配慮、量、全てに大満足でした
