when we got there to check in, the unit had not been cleaned. a person was sent over after 4 pm to clean up a 3 story unit. she did not finish cleaning up until 9:30 pm. the ice machines were completely frozen. my wife and i had to unplug same, let them thaw before ice started to fall. the ice machine in the kitchen was dripping dripping water into the ice holder thus the machine continued to ice up solid. the only ice machine that worked properly was on the 3rd floor. i am handicapped. the elevator was no working at all when we got there. a maintenance man was sent over to reset same. the parking was not as advertised. we had 5 vehicles. when parked, you could not get into the ones that were parked closest to the unit. the keurig coffee machine would not work so the host sent us a new one that did. we wanted a heated pool and spa because of the cold weather. the pool and spa were cold when we got there. the host turned the heater on for both remotely. there was a remote in our unit to control the heater in the pool and spa but no instructions.we did not learn until the second to last day we were there that you could only heat the pool or the spa but not both at the same time. simple instructions would have been nice. bottom line, the unit was fine but poorly maintained. i was generous to give you a 2 star rating.

The property was described well. The pool and home very clean and well appointed. The only issue we had was the elevator did not work. With 3 floors of bedrooms and a group of senior ladies it was hard to get the luggage up and down. We almost had a couple of falls on the stairs as well. We are waiting for the owners to offer a partial rebate for the issue. We did try and follow their instructions on how to reset the elevator but that did not work. Everything else was as advertised!

The home is absolutely gorgeous! Pool area is very nice. There’s a very short walk to the beach. The owner was very responsive. The house is pretty and very comfortable. Be advised there is not parking for 6 cars! Four small-medium cars max and fewer if large SUVs, pickups, or vans. There is nowhere else to park on the side of the street or anything, so plan accordingly.

The house was great! The elevator made it so easy for the older family members and moving luggage to the other floors. The hot tub was amazing and used nightly. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Access to the beach was close, allowing for frequent visits to play or swim in the ocean. We really enjoyed our time in the house!

This is a beautiful home, perfect for our family vacation! The location is great, short walk to the beach but still close to groceries, restaurants and shopping. The bikes were a perk as some of us rode them around for shopping or to get a bite to eat. There were plenty of bedrooms to accommodate our family of 18. There were 3 icemakers and 3 sets of washers and dryers. The owners were very responsive and helpful to our questions. Check-in was easy. Highly Recommend!

Miramar Beach stay

We booked this house for our family of 20 to celebrate a big birthday. The house is large with plenty of room to spread out. The location is good as it is a couple minutes walk to the private beach access. There is quite a bit of construction happening on the street and so hard to navigate cars in and out. The pictures show the house to be much nicer/newer than it actually is. When we arrived (we were early) the cleaning crew was there and they were changing out a matress. Cleaning crew was done right at check in time. There were several places where the walls are scuffed, and have black marks but that is understandable with rentals I suppose. The furniture was fine, however for a house that fits 24 people there was only enough living room seating for maybe half, but we made it work. The rooftop seating area was kind of a mess, the seating was all over the place and some of the furniture did not have cushions, there was also trash up there. We just ended up not using that space. The outdoor grill was extremely dirty and when we turned it on to try to use it, several large water bugs (roaches) came out, so we opted not to use it. The worse part was that there were actual roaches inside the house so we did very limited cooking there. I do wish there was a manual on how to use the hot tub and such but we figured it out. All in all, it was an okay place to stay but I think next time we would opt for something else even if it is higher priced.

Thpe house is really nice and incredibly comfortable. It has three floors, which gives everyone plenty of space and privacy. I especially appreciated that each floor has its own thermostat—it made it easy to keep every level at just the right temperature without affecting the rest of the house. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully laid out, and the bathrooms were also surprisingly large, with ample counter space and storage, which made daily routines very convenient.On top of that, the owner was very responsive and quick to address any issues we had during our stay. It really made the experience feel smooth and stress-free. Overall, it’s a well-designed, welcoming space that’s perfect for a relaxing visit.

Family Fun

Our family does an annual family reunion and we gather from a number of different states. The house had room for everyone and we enjoyed the pool area which was very convenient for us. The elevator was a huge bonus as the oldest of the family is 94. We would stay again. However a book of instructions would be a huge bonus.

We were overall very pleased with our stay here. The property is beautiful and fit our large family fairly well. The host was super easy to communicate with and was very helpful when we were booking. There were some little things that we found that the cleaners missed, but they weren't anything we couldn't fix or clean up ourselves. There are two drink fridges in the home, which is great, but only having one fridge for food was a little cumbersome. We cooked every night, so we had to be strategic about fridge/freezer space. For such a large home, I don't think one standard fridge is enough. There also weren't any instructions or guidance on the property anywhere, so looking for tips on how to use the pool or wifi information weren't easily located. Hopefully this was just a growing pain as it is a new property. Some of the rooms were also a little crowded with two beds, so there wasn't a lot of extra space for luggage or portable cribs. The kitchen/dining/living area space can get a little crowded if you have the home at capacity. On the rainy days, it wasn't the easiest to gather everyone to hang out in one space as there just isn't a huge communal area. This house is an easy walk to the beach, which was so great for a family with young kids. We were able to easily walk back for naps or meals if we needed to. The home had beach chairs and toys that were such a treat to use during our stay. We were overall very happy and would absolutely book this property again.
