Gulfside in Hidden Dunes Resort was founded directly on the brilliant white sands of the Gulf of Mexico and Destin vacation rental 0701 offers more than the usual opportunities to soak in epic beach time and views. The potential for relaxation maximization is endless here! Whether you are reading a book on the northeast bedroom’s beach balcony, watching the sunset from the middle bedroom’s beach balcony or enjoying a cool drink from the master suite while emerald waves roll right before your eyes– every room in Gulfside 0701 has incredible beach views. In fact, the whole family can gather on yet another very large and furnished private balcony and enjoy a home cooked meal freshly prepared in the fully-stocked kitchen.

Apart from being a haven for beach lovers, it’s also got a touch of elegance noted by the carefully coordinated dĂ©cor and furnishings and a Jacuzzi bathtub in the Master Suite. Moreover, condo 0701 has one of the largest floor plans in Gulfside and Hidden Dunes and one of the best locations in Destin, FL. Surrounded by three pools, Rubico tennis courts, basketball, pickle ball and horseshoe courts and untouched foliage are some of the perks that come from a vacation in Hidden Dunes. Yet just outside the gates is an exciting world of epic shopping at Silver Sands Outlets, dining at award-winning restaurants and championship golf courses all within a five minute drive.

Hidden Dunes offers six tennis courts with a Rubico Clay surface, which is the highest standard for clay tennis courts, and are maintained daily in order to provide the best playing conditions. Proper tennis attire is required to play and we encourage you to call ahead to schedule a match or take advantage of our clinics and private lessons. Please call to inquire about cost per session and equipment rental prices. Our friendly staff invites you to join for a game or two.

2 CAR MAXIMUM IN JUNE AND JULY. NO VISITOR GUEST PARKING AVAILABLE.

We require a minimum length of stay during the summer and over holidays.
We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.

A Fun Time

The property is in a great location. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Each room has a balcony. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was at our disposal. Suggestions: Provide towels at the pool area or let guest know they need to pack some for the trip. The shower floor and tub need a good cleaning. It’s past time to replace the carpet.

Great location, way outdated

The property was a total throwback to 1984 + 2006. It was clear the bathrooms were still original to the property from 2006 and were very old. This meant the tile was clean, but worn so it looked a bit dirty in the bathrooms. Overall, the property was very tired and worn. The mattresses were the most basic mattresses I've ever slept on, you could feel every spring and we all had bad backs the entire time we were there starting on day 2 after our first night's sleep. We stayed at Miramar a couple of weeks before in the same size condo in a much nicer building which had been totally updated for the same price per night.

Great property a little dated

Great location with a beautiful view. The property was extremely clean, the inside furnishings (cabinets, bathrooms, etc.) were a little dated, but it wasn't much of a concern to us. Parking is very tight but manageable. View was beautiful, beach was great, the included chairs and umbrella from beach vendor was awesome addition. Beach chair/umbrella vendor was awesome.

Great view and ocean sounds

Weather was not optimal but the beach was great when we were able to use it. The chairs set up for you was great and included in the rental. Sitting on the deck and listening to the gulf in the evenings was great. Unit clean and a very good layout. Only one elevator running but working on the second one and I would guess should be ready by heavy season. (Only one time was one elevator a real issue but...) Looked like a lot of new furniture and supplies. We will stay again.

Outdated, Rundown and Overpriced

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience here. Aside from a great view and a convenient walk to the beach, I don’t have anything positive to say about this condo. At check-in there were very few hangers in any room, a toilet paper holder broken off the wall with drywall all over the floor and it was easy to see that this condo was in poor condition. When I called in my complaints, they brought more hangers and fixed the toilet paper holder, leaving the drywall on the floor. Other than that she said they knew the condition of the unit was very poor and had told the owner it needs painted and all furniture needs replaced. It honestly needs even more than that. The flooring needs replaced (gross carpet, stained tiles in the bathrooms, etc.), the laundry area doors need replaced, all bathrooms need gutted, outlets are a safety hazard (some don’t work at all and others are so loose, what you have plugged in is constantly falling out), the tiles on the main balcony need replaced (some are missing), there is just one lamp in two of the bedrooms (no overhead light or fan) and there are plumbing issues (2/3 toilets barely flush and 1 of the showers leaks all over the floor even when putting the shower curtain liner inside the tub). There was nowhere to move us and she said they would credit my card for a good size refund after talking it over with someone. I was shocked to see only a $600 credit several days later after following up. That didn’t even cover the cost of 1 night of my stay with all the ridiculous fees added onto the daily rental cost. I sent in a complaint about that and received an additional $400 credit. This is still not substantial enough; it was that poor. It looks like I will be calling again. I have a newly renovated 3-bedroom unit on the beach with all new furniture and appliances, booked in July for less than what this place costs. I looked up this unit for the same dates and they are charging $5600 (7 nights). It’s completely ridiculous that they are allowing this unit to be booked for that price knowing it is in terrible condition! Oh, and be prepared for an elevator hassle. There are only 2. One was broken the whole week we were there and the other one was down periodically, with guests trapped in the elevator. Be ready to get a workout in while you climb those stairs. Although that might be the preferred workout over the rundown gym. Keep searching and stay away from this place.

Quick Trip

With short notice we booked this site - it was great! Great gulf views are outstanding, loved having the guest rooms with own balcony areas. Condo was huge! Plenty of room for all of us. Very nice to not be surrounded by other mid-high rises, left plenty of room on the beach for us to spread out and enjoy!
