The paradisiacal apartment, on the ground floor, with 107 square meters was built in 2012 and invites with its garden of fantastically beautiful African plants and palm trees to relax. She is just 7 minutes (350m) on a public road from the dream beach Diani Beach and is equipped with European standards. Similarly, the apartment is in the immediate surroundings of a large supermarket, where you can find cheap food and everything you need for a perfect holiday.
Since the Kenyan life takes place mainly due to the pleasant temperatures outdoors, there is a large dining table on the covered terrace. A few meters of the community pool (14x6) is meters, this provides them with comfortable internal staircase a gentle introduction. You will find in the pool area always enough pool chairs, umbrellas and seating. In the spacious apartment is enough space for 4 people. 2 bedrooms with respective double beds and 2 separate bathrooms are available in each case. Of course, both double beds are equipped with a large mosquito net, which offer a good nights sleep. In the 2 bathrooms is a spacious shower, washbasin with mirror and a toilet. The kitchen next to a large fridge with freezer compartment above a large cooker with electricity and gas operation, coffee maker, toaster, blender and kettle. Dishes, glasses and cutlery are naturally present in sufficient quantity. The apartment is rented with staff (night watchman, gardener).
We had book the apartment for 14 days but ended up checking out five days early. Mostly because of heat, mosquitoes and/or bedbugs, and mildew smell.
The positive.
1. We enjoyed the pool.
2. The monkeys and bush babies were fun
3. The landscape is beautiful.
4. The workers and guards were very friendly and helpful.
5. The owner took us to the local hospital when we needed.
6. There was a water cooler.
The negative.
1. There was no air conditioning. Mombasa is very hot and humid and we couldn't sleep much at all and the children woke up crying many times because of the heat.
2. There were cockroaches, millipedes, ants, mosquitoes and a few other bugs. I got bitten well over 30 times as I slept by two different insects even though we were under the mosquito net and I also sprayed many times. I've been to Africa before and this was by far the worst.
3. The stove only had one working burner.
4. They didn't have any supplies so we needed to buy things like salt, etc.
5. They didn't have soap or shampoo in the bathrooms and only would supply one roll of toilet paper per bathroom for the entire stay.
6. The towels and sheets and whole apartment smelled musty and moldy.
7. They wanted me to pay the electric bill but after they turned the electricity off, the owner eventually decided that he should pay the bill.
8. The apartment was not very clean.
9. There were some repairs that were needed.
Overall I think the apartment needs to be re-modeled and upgraded before they rent it again.
Das Apartment war hervorragend ausgestattet.
Saubere Zimmer und die Lage war ziemlich gut.
Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Vermieter war jederzeit erreichbar und hat sofort geholfen.
Was man allerdings beachten sollte,
Dort bekommt man so ziemlich alles, was man benötigt.
