Charming Monroe Garden District Home
This is a traditional older home in the Monroe Garden District. It has old wood floors, the southern style pass through rooms, and a great back yard for relaxing. Bookings are not accepted after 7PM and check in is between 3PM and 10PM. Pets are NOT allowed.
The host was nice when I had to contact him about his property. The house is not as it shows on the listing. There are white patches all over every wall from where they were repaired and never painted. There was food in the fridge and freezer. The floors were dirty. It smells horrible. The microwave was gross. The neighborhood is sketchy. We did not stay
I was very disappointed in our stay. This house is not in good condition. One of the door knobs to one of the bedrooms fell off in our hands. Living room furniture was old musty. One of the burners on the kitchen stove worked. The rest did not. This house just hasnât been kept up well. The comforter on the master bed had a nasty yellow stain on the underneath side of it. Not sure that the sheets were clean on one of the beds when we got there. It was just very disappointing for and otherwise great graduation weekend.
There was nothing wrong with the house. It is an old house in an old neighborhood. But everything worked fine and it was easy to access. House was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer was a plus. But for complete transparency to other families⊠the house is directly across the street from what seems to be some type of government housing or apartments. The people living there were outside every single night being extremely loud/partying, using profanity, and at times verbally arguing until 2-3 in the morning. While the actual house was fine, I would not stay here again for this reason.
This house was just minutes away from the Civic Center where we attended a conference. It was nice and air conditioned and had a fully furnished kitchen. It wasperfect for our use!
We were driving to the beach from Texas and it was a great âhalf wayâ stay for us. The house had enough rooms/ beds for my family. We were thankful to lay our heads down from a long trip! Thanks for the stay Dustin!
We stayed a week and enjoyed the house. Itâs an old house, but there were nice touches that updated it, such as the Xbox. My only issue is the neighborhood. It was sketchier than I was expecting, and Iâm glad my husband was there with me and the kids.
The property was very clean and well kept. Everything was wonderful. Thank you Dustin for allowing my family the use of this wonderful property we had a great time.
Charming old house near ULM. The house is fully furnished with kitchen and washer/dryer. The bathroom and bedroom doors are not lockable due to old age. Overall, the house is clean, in a quiet neighborhood, but it needs more electrical outlets for phone charging as some rooms have no electrical outlet or only one outlet. I would stay again if I need to come to ULM.
This is a great property for a stay. Everything was provide. We were in town for a funeral and enjoyed being able to have the space for all of us and the room for everyone to be comfortable. Definitely recommend staying here. Owner was very kind and understanding when I reached out to him prior to booking and I really appreciate his kindness in letting us use his property.
Thanks again. Robert
