Fantastic House

Everything was just lovely. Location was a great jumping off point for sight seeing the cote de zur and the local restaurants were fantastic. 2 weeks just isn’t long enough Would love to come back again in the future

Outstanding views but the property needs some work

The views and the pool are the best assets of this house. The mattresses in the bedrooms are of good quality and the living room and master bedroom are very pleasant. However we do feel the overall price of the house in peak season is too pricey due to the number of items that need replacing (lounge chairs, sofa, dishwasher, cutlery,
.) as well as the untidy and unfinished work in the basement which you need to go through in order to access the pool. Finally the back of the house needs to be repainted. It could be a great house which probably was 10 years ago but is now in needs of maintenance and repairs. The owners are friendly and always available if you have any questions. Overall we did have a pleasant week in Montauroux once you make abstraction of all the negatives.

A Piece of Paradise

The property was in a beautiful location with stunning views from each of the balconies and the infinity pool. Spacious clean rooms with every amenity you could want.Just an hour and a half from the main towns of the Riviera, such as Cannes and Nice etc. it meant beach and country would satisfy everyone's appetite. Local boulangerie and restaurants were nearby.The hosts were very attentive, hospitable and helpful. Highly recommend.

Excellent Villa

Wonderful stay at a Villa we would definitely come back to. The value for money,great heated pool,gorgeous views and range of places to relax made this overall, probably the best villa we have stayed in (and we have stayed in many,worldwide). Montauroux itself is quiet but has all you need,and there are plenty of alternatives close by. Due to its location visiting a wide range of places and attractions is easy. The hosts were great,they even offered to speak to another villa owner we had issues with whilst trying to book a different week. The only problem is finding a vacant week as the villa (deservedly) is rarely available. Thanks Carrie and Hendrix,keep up the good work!

A great stay!

We had a great time at the villa. It was spacious and the pool was fantastic during the hot afternoons. There were a few minor details that could be addressed - some sun loungers could be updated. Bushes around pool could be cut back further. Some outdoor seating was dated and rusted. The outdoor umbrellas were not very stable in the wind. The underfloor air conditioning will work after a period of days (it requires all windows to be closed to work properly) A information pack about the property and the local area in the villa would have been very useful to avoid having to text the owners throughout the week. However the owners were very helpful with questions! We really enjoyed the proximity to the local town and the views were outstanding. We had an amazing week in the villa!

Great Property in a charming village

This is our second stay at this property, three weeks this time. The pictures in the listing are true and we spent hours gazing over the village and the mountains from the pool. You can walk into town with three restaurants in easy reach plus many more within a short drive. The pool is now heated which makes swimming very comfortable (it gets cool at night). An E Leclerc is within driving distance with wonderful food products so we cooked quite a bit on this huge stove. The town is located close enough to Cannes that it's an easy trip to get to the ocean. Grasse, Vance, are within a day's round trip. The advantage of the town is that it's away from the intensity and tourist pressure of the larger cities.

Quiet and relaxing

We enjoyed the area very much. The home is located in a wonderful spot overlooking the villages and valley. Inside the property was clean with plenty of room for everyone. The hosts left a bottle of rose wine to welcome us. There were plenty of supplies provided with the house for our stay. The negatives - we had to rely on google to find grocery stores/restaurants in the area. The mattress in the far room was very hard with a fold in the middle. The outdoor space overall needed cleaning. The outdoor stairs to the pool were blackened and needed to be washed. The pool had green algae collecting in between the tiles and should have been washed. The infinity pool was not running, the overflow was full of bugs. The poolside dining area was full of leaves, dust and cobwebs and we couldn't use that area. The lounge chairs had wobbly legs, one leg almost falling off. The umbrella shade was missing a wheel. The paint on the white lounge chairs was peeling. There were no cushions for the wood lounge chairs outside with master bedroom. There was lumber left laying outside along the fence.

Great property and great hosts

Excellent experience. Amazing hosts. Communication was great throughout. The guidebook prepared by the hosts was very useful. Do read it carefully if you book here and you won't be disappointed. Nice warm showers with good water pressure. The view is amazing. The only regret we had is not having more time. We rented a full size SUV and didn't have any issues with navigating around, though you do have to realize that when you're in older parts of Europe, a smaller car gives you more flexibility.

Cosy Home with Stunning Views

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Montauroux. The home was the perfect place for a Christmas getaway. The location is wonderful for exploring nearby mountain towns as well as the highlights of the Riviera. We only wish we’d come in the summer so we could take advantage of the gorgeous pool.

Stay in Montauroux

Really well situated villa with great views to two hill villages. Very easy access to property and also to travel around the area with many amenities close by. You can walk into the village which has a very pretty centre and nice restaurants. Villa itself is very comfortable spacious and well equipped with balconies on two floors and around the pool (which looed really nice and clean although didn't try out as middle of December!!) The owners are really nice and helpful and communicated back very quickly. Would recommend

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche verbracht! Das Haus hat einen sehr schönen Pool, schöne große Schlafzimmer,gemĂŒtliches Wohnzimmer , angenehme Klimaanlage und ist gut ausgestattet. VerbesserungswĂŒrdig ist nur der umstĂ€ndliche Zugang zum Pool durch den Keller oder von außen ĂŒber Treppe.

Traumhaus mit grandiosem Blick

Haben hier 14 Tage mit Freunden und Hund verbracht.Das Haus ist super ausgestattet. Sehr gute Aufteilung der RĂ€ume,so das sich jeder zurĂŒckziehen kann. Tolle Betten und von jeder Etage einen traumhaften Blick auf Montauroux und Callian.Das Haus hat eine gute Ausgangslage fĂŒr Erkundungen an der CĂŽte Azur wie auch im Hinterland. Sehr schöner Pool,mit ebenfalls tollem Blick. Vielen Dank an Carrie und Henk fĂŒr die schöne Zeit die wir in ihrem Haus verbringen durften. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schöner Abschluss unseres Urlaubes

Zum Abschluss unseres Frankreich-Urlaubes zog es uns des besseren Wetters wegen an die Cote d'Azur, wir wollten aber nicht direkt an die zugebaute KĂŒste. Das Bergdorf Montauroux bot sich als hervorragende Alternative an. Nah genug zu den Attraktionen zwischen Monaco und St. Tropez, aber auch mit reichlich Alternativen im Hinterland. Die Lage des Hauses ist ruhig, die Aussicht grandios. Die Unterkunft selber ist sehr sauber und perfekt fĂŒr einen Urlaub eingerichtet - es ist alles vorhanden, was das Herz begehrt. Die Gastgeber Carrie und Henk (auch wenn wir sie nicht persönlich trafen) kĂŒmmerten sich sehr gut um uns und waren immer fĂŒr unsere Fragen erreichbar.
