Catalonia is directly on the ocean so that’s a huge plus; however, the resort is OLD and needs updates and repairs throughout the resort. Both elevators closest to our room were NOT working the entire 5 days. Buffett was fine and the food was fresh. The Buffett area was clean and the restaurant staff were friendly. Our room was cleaned daily and the a/c unit kept the room very cold!!! Bottle water was provided in our room daily by the resort.

My stay overall was good. Food, service, drinks, and entertainment were all good at the Catalonia. But the overall appearance needs updating in the rooms. Had a great time and enjoyed the Jerk Bar😋.

Excellent resort location with 180° of ocean view. A very staff friendly atmosphere with great selection of food at the buffet. Plenty of tasty Food. A gated property with 24 hour security. No night swimming. Add the beach party to your to do list.

wifi was terrible even in the lobby. jerk shack and employees were great. they need to allow local crafts people on the grounds in certain areas to help the local people. The chairs in the lobby and jerk shack were very uncomfortable, could only sit there a short time. Gym was closed the whole time we were there for rennovations-bummer. We had a maintenance guy check our AC, It was better, but ran non stop. hot tub could be warmer. Nice pool and liked the island.

The hotel was amazing, I had stayed at the hotel with my wife and kids from March 3-8, the food was extremely good and the hotel staff besides 1 of the bellman was okay. The beach was made for kids because of the shallow depth of the water which is a plus. The little island was incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately, If I could leave less than a 1 star for the check in experience I would, the bellman named Marlon was very unprofessional and rude the way how he speak to the guests is beyond rude and his demeanor is disgusting, maybe he thinks he owns the hotel, by giving orders and telling us what to do in a very distasteful way. That bell person needs to be moved from dealing with the public before the hotel lose future guests.

It was a no frills resort maybe an upgrade from a Motel 6. A bit expensive for where I stayed.

The bathroom was not the best. Room cleaning was done every day, but the room floor was not vacuumed. So there was a lot dirt when walking in the room barefoot. Staff were very friendly and the Japanese restaurant was very good. But challenging to get a reservation. So always go to the restaurant for booking or to see any cancellations

It was overall a nice stay. They ignored my room request. Things were broken in the hotel that made it more difficult to move freely. The buffet could have had better food options.

Had a wonderful time at this place. The staff were amazingly warm, friendly, and accommodating. Only downside was rooms were dated, WiFi kept getting disconnected —brought this matter to their customer service but none got done to make it better. Otherwise, I’d still recommend this place for first time visitors to the island since it’s all inclusive.
