Nestled near the forests of Montemor-o-Novo, this luxurious mansion offers a serene retreat surrounded by olive orchards, cork oaks, and gardens. Guests can enjoy the shared swimming pool open year-round, relax by the tranquil pond in the furnished garden, or dine outdoors on the private roofed terrace. Families and groups will appreciate amenities like a children's bed and high chair, making it ideal for all ages. Montemor-o-Novo offers adventure and nature: jeep safaris through corkwood forests and villages, flight tours over the countryside, swimming and fishing at the local reservoir, and a scenic lake just 1 km away. Historical castles, cloisters, and activities like water skiing or carting near Évora are within easy reach. The town center, 5 km away, is perfect for shopping and cultural exploration. Nearby restaurants serve authentic Alentejo cuisine with local specialties such as açorda, migas, and slow-cooked pork, complemented by regional wines. Peaceful

We tend to try to stay places that aren’t in the thick of all the hustle and bustle and this place is exactly that. It’s literally in the most peaceful slice of paradise we have ever seen. The entire property is so beautiful almost unreal. Loved everything about this property From the trees, to the peaceful quietness,to the lake to the pool which was so amazing! We saw some Beautiful sunsets overlooking the lake listening to the crickets, frogs and cows! The owner Johanna greeted us as soon as we pulled in and made us feel so welcomed and part of the family. She even gave us a little tour of the property and shared a lot of the history with us. Max the very sweet ranch dog also took us for many walks on the property, she came to our door every morning and waited for us to come outside. If you are looking for a warm friendly place to recharge and get away from it all.. this is the place! If we ever get to return to Portugal we will definitely stay here again! Heads up google maps takes you on a little adventure getting there so don’t put the address in until you reach the town of Montemor. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing slice of heaven with us!!! ❤️

Un lieu merveilleux !

L’Herdade da Giblaceira est une magnifique propriété très au calme, au milieu de pâtures et de chênes liège. On y trouve un beau jardin bien entretenu. Quant à la piscine commune, elle est de très grande taille et permet de bien nager, dans un cadre exceptionnel. Merci à Johanna de nous avoir fait partager son coin de paradis.

Wundervolles Erlebnis, wenn Sie Ruhe, schöne Aussicht, Entspannung und Natur suchen. Die Wohnung befindet sich zusammen mit 3 weiteren Wohnungen in einem ehemaligen Bauernhaus. Die Möbel in der Wohnung können als sehr charakteristisch und traditionell bezeichnet werden. Es gibt ein separates Schlafzimmer, das durchquert werden muss, um zur Außenterrasse zu gelangen. Durch die Platzierung einiger Schränke im Wohnzimmer entsteht ein weiterer Schlafbereich, der den Bereich vom Rest des Wohnzimmers trennt. Die gesamte Ausstattung im Haus funktioniert gut und es fehlt an nichts. Von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf den großen und fantastischen Pool und die Landschaft dahinter. Die Möbel auf der Terrasse sind gepflegt und komfortabel. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und der Gastgeber war sehr nett!

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt leider nicht

Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und die Umgebung ist und der Pool sind sehr schön. Allerdings stimmt das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Im Inserat sind 2 getrennte Schlafzimmer beschrieben. Eines davon ist aber eine Niesche im Wohnzimmer, durch einen Vorhang abgetrennt, was eine Privatsphäre nur eingeschränkt möglich macht. Die Sitzmöbel sind total abgewohnt und auch die Matratzen sind so abgenutzt, dass am Morgen Rückenschmerzen vorprogrammiert sind. Bei Starkregen regnete es sowohl am Schornstein als auch über dem Sofa in die Zimmer. Bei uns ging das Internet nur vor bzw. außerhalb des Hauses, was bei dem Regenwetter wirklich unangenehm war. TV wurde erst auch 5 Tagen repariert. Dafür 140,-/Nacht zu zahlen entspricht nicht unseren Vorstellungen. Wir hoffen, die Vermieter nehmen unsere Hinweise zur Kenntnis und zum Anlass, einiges zu ändern.

We verbleven 1 week in Casa do Forno de Pão en hadden er een hele mooie vakantie. Het uitzicht vanuit het gigantische zwembad is adembenemend. Massa's kurkbomen, een groot meer en de huisjes zijn omgeven door vele bloemen en planten. De kinderen konden vissen in het meer dat op 1 minuutje wandelafstand ligt. Joke en haar man zijn zeer gastvrij en trakteerden ons af en toe op lekkere groentjes uit de moestuin. Een auto is aangeraden om de meer toeristische streek, die vooral gesitueerd is rondom Lissabon, te verkennen. Mooie rustige vakantieplek!
