Location is good. About 1/2 mile to the metro. Neighborhood is clean and safe. I agree with the other review, the owner was very rude on the phone. He replied to one question I had about the address on the listing "I think we are getting to too much questions." He would not let me talk on the phone and kept talking over me and was very rude.The apartment is clean except for the kitchen (some shelves were dirty, dirty sponges left to use). We just stayed out of the kitchen and shut the door. Otherwise, our main complaint with is everything is really worn. Most of the furniture seems old and worn, maybe their "hand me downs"? The dresser drawers were broken and didn't open, pillows were extremely old, mattress flat and bed very creaky, towels old and almost looked like rags. Duct tape on the shower handle though the overhead rainfall shower worked well. etc. We are not high maintenance, but have rented many houses/apartments before and were surprised with what we got for what we paid. With that being said, we made due and had a lovely time in Montreal.
