Hotel Faubourg was a great place for us to stay! It was located near everything we wanted to do, was close to many metro stations, and we even had a great little window view of the snow in the city in the morning. All of the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room itself was nice and spacious for the two person stay and was worth the value. It wasn’t the option we had originally intended on choosing but were so glad we did.

Generally okay, except that the “breakfast included” shouldn’t even be advertised. It was non existent and heavily crowded with little to non to offer. Cleanliness is acceptable with few defects here and there(ie. Bathtub, toilet cover) everything else was clean.

I was a little skeptical at the price but took a chance and wow this place blew my expectations away. This is a fantastic hotel rooms are spacious beds where comfortable. And breakfast was top notch. Plenty to do around and only a short walk to the metro. You can park your calr and forget about it.

I was given a dirty room. with a broken lamp shade and it was in need of decor and sorting. Pretty shubby. It a while to have a new lamp shade and get the room cleaned. I had to take the dirty area , which I wiped up myself and took it to the reception area. this was on the second day and then got it cleaned

This is a hotel that could be MUCH better than it is. The rooms are a great size, the breakfast was decent, but they seem to be “giving up”. Each morning I would leave the room and have to walk between two housekeeping carts parked right outside of my room. On each cart was a vacuum cleaner - our room hadn’t been vacuumed in what looked like weeks. The sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean, the kitchen was clean, but the carpets were filthy. This is a simple fix, and I’m not sure why this was overlooked. Additionally, the high dusting had not been done in a very long time as well. We went out on the balcony and had to avoid cigarette butts, and on our reenrry to the room, the back of the tv was covered in cobwebs. This hotel is in a great location for Place des Arts and a decent walk to the old port, but the lack of cleaning, as mentioned by others, is holding it back. The cleaning is the biggest drawback, otherwise this could be our “go to” Montreal hotel for weekends away. Also, the wood furniture is very worn, but they sell touch up markers that could really improve the overall look, and give the furniture an extended life. Just sad to see such easy fixes overlooked.
