The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, overall, it felt run down. There was paint chipping off the bathroom door, the coffee machine was cracked, some of the outlets didn’t work. It felt as though other than cleaning, no real attention has been paid to the rooms in some time. I’d stay there again in a pinch, but it would definitely not be my first choice.

We booked the Signature Room, but it felt more like a standard motel room. In fact, the regular room I had stayed in previously offered a better overall experience. The upgrade did not justify the additional cost. Unfortunately, even the bed lacked comfort, which further impacted the stay. Overall, the room did not meet the expectations set by its “Signature” label.

Bathroom was clean except for mold around bathtub and shower curtain. Room was very dusty causing my companion and i severe coughing episodes. Decided to check the air conditioning heating unit and discovered it to be completely clogged with dust and dirt. By the look of it no cleaning has been done in at least a year. I am sure many of the air conditioning/heating room units have also not been cleaned. Very disappointed with Ruby Foo's which has been in the past a very well respected place to stay in Montreal for vacations and conference seminars and shows. Decided not to purchase any hotel items from the gift boutique like the famous Ruby foo's bathrobe after being made ill from the over powering dust levels in the hotel room. Maybe in the future i may book another room but for now I will give them time to recapture there glory days and become once again a great hotel.

Check in time is 4pm and my room was not ready. At around 5pm, the clerk notified me the room was finally ready. When I got to the room, staff was still cleaning the room and it was not ready. I waited another 15 mins at the door before being able to get my room. There was only 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel provided with 4-5 bath towels.

We really liked our stay at hotel ruby foo’s . Very clean and staff were friendly, great service. The location was very convenient for everything around and to get to anywhere you needed to. Reason for our stay was for business and my partner had a leg injury they actually upgraded our room closer to the elevator for easy access. We also booked again for second time stay for the upcoming business trip this week. Highly recommended to stay hotel Rudy foo’s.

It would have been a nice gesture to have turned the heat on in our room before we checked in, we checked in to a room that had an ambient temperature of 15 degrees Celsius ! Also, it would be good practice for hotels to offer alternatives to down feather pillows and duvet comforters as my wife is allergic to feathered bedding !
