We had a very large canvas tent with multiple rooms and a thatched roof. The bed was very comfortable and netted to keep out flying critters. The front balcony overlooked a savanna type landscape where animal viewing is certainly possible, though we only saw them on our game drive. Very tasty buffet options were provided at dinner and breakfast. There are two game drives per day, with the morning drive shortly after sunrise. The game drive was surprisingly eventful as we saw 6 young lions behaving quite playfully, including climbing into a tree and pulling each other down.
A bit average for the rate per night. Lock to the upstairs viewing patio was broken and we could go outside to see the view.
Safe didnât open.
The resort is running on skeleton staff and limited resources. everyone is always busy and the promises could not be met. Food wasnât the best.
I had a great time. Travelled by myself but was always included. The drive from Johannesburg is only about 3 and a half hours. My tent was beautiful. Simple yet functional. I loved the Hide/Library area, perfect place to sit and watch the Warthogs that come to play in the waterhole. Beautiful pool area with plenty space for guests to park off and enjoy the afternoon sun.
Game drives were great. Managed to see some amazing wildlife, including 3 of the big 5.
The only complaint I have is that I did not stay longer! I look forward to going back for a longer stay to completely unwind!
