Was recommended to stay at Moorings by a friend and was very impressed 👏. Was giving a great welcome and hotel is very nicely situated for Motherwell Station/ Town Centre. Room was really comfortable and when house keeping got my towel mixed up the hotel worked very to get my towel back.

Check in was smooth and the room was spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. Room was lovely and comfortable and quiet despite lots going on in other areas of the hotel - we had a peaceful nights rest. Will definitely stay again

The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is quite beautiful inside. The lack of elevator may be an issue with someone with mobility issues (our room was on the 2nd floor). There was a good shopping area nearby, including an Aldi (for groceries). The hotel restaurant was very good, with a good selection for dinner options. It was just a couple of blocks away from public transportation.

My second two night stay here. Even better than the first. The staff a very friendly and make sure you are looked after well. Easy parking just out the front of the hotel. Nice bar and restaurant area. Great breakfast. I will be back

Going home.

First time of staying at this hotel, and we make a visit to Scotland twice a year. Could not fault it in anyway. So much so, this hotel will be our go to place when in Scotland. 10/10.

We loved the outside look of the building. The room was very clean. Room number 1 was very noisy with a kitchen across the hall and a function room beside it. The noise was very loud till midnight on the first night then loud till around 10pm the second night. This accommodation would definitely be better during the week rather than on a weekend. Transport was good with the choice of trains or buses into Glasgow. We did both. The car park had plenty of spaces.

A very comfortable hotel, the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, we ate dinner once and it was beautiful, cooked and presented with care as was breakfast, I have only two negatives which I didn’t discuss with the hotel, but I do think they could benefit from supplying fans in the superior rooms as they do get warm and as the road is busy it gets noisy to have the windows open. The other slight niggle , on checking in we were told it would be helpful to complete a breakfast form the day before, however we only ever received one form for a four night stay, on the Saturday breakfast seemed to be set up in a buffet style so we helped ourselves and weren’t told that this wasn’t acceptable, however on Sunday when we again went to help ourselves we were told “NO, that’s for coach party only , you completed a form on day one chef cooks that for you “. So I think clarity to the customer is required around breakfast as we certainly did not want the same breakfast three days in a row. But those are minuscule things which with better communication from us and the hotel are easily resolved. I would not hesitate to recommend or stay again.
