Small town friendly and very clean. This hotel far exceeded our expectations and was so much better than the big city money grabbing corporate rip offs down the highway. These small town hidden gems have all been forgotten about.

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Desk people flat out lied when asked questions. The Web site showed pictures of a pool when I asked about the pool when I checked in I was told that it was under renovations. When I asked the desk person in the morning he said that there never was a pool and it was a problem with the Web site then later said that it was filled in and they were going to dig it out again in the spring. Will never stay here again.

Start with perfect and work back. I was a late arrival. The clerk seemed shocked that I showed up as he had called me to confirm whether I was a no show and I didn’t answer. I don’t answer random numbers and he didn’t leave a voicemail. Luckily he didn’t give my room to someone else. It was pre-paid, so this is a weird practice! Next odd thing is the “Free Breakfast” ZERO protein. It was Waffle, toast, cereal or packaged muffins. The hotel is one of only a couple of options in town and to me, after staying there almost a week, I still believe is the best option. If you are going for the Refuge, this is a really great place to stay. It’s only a few minutes, convenience stores, grocery stores even restaurants all within a few blocks/short walk. And it’s right on the interstate!
