We loved this hotel. Full of history. Walking distance from everything with plenty of dinning options. The staff was super polite and friendly and the rooms were big. Take the breakfast option as the buffet was wonderful!

Elegant property with standout fine dining and spa, but some comfort gaps for U.S. travelers. Hotel Bayerischer Hof is a beautiful, historic hotel with warm and professional staff. The highlight of my stay—without question—was dinner at Atelier. The food was extraordinary, the staff attentive, and the entire experience unforgettable. If you’re staying here (or even if you’re not), book a reservation at Atelier—it’s truly world-class. The Blue Spa also delivered—my massage was excellent and worth the visit. Just allow extra time, as check-in is a bit disjointed (robe and towel from the room, locker key from a separate floor). While the hotel is grand, the in-room experience didn’t quite meet 5-star expectations. WiFi was unreliable, even with the high-speed upgrade, and there were no outlets near the bed. The TV wasn’t non-German-speaker friendly, and my Firestick didn’t work due to the weak WiFi signal. My room near the elevator was noisy at night, and though the bed was comfortable, it was two twins pushed together. The A/C struggled to cool the room and was quite loud—something to note if you’re a warm sleeper. Overall, the service, spa, and dining deliver moments of true luxury—but the in-room experience and tech limitations may leave some guests feeling it falls just short of a true five-star stay.

Das Hotel Bayerischer Hof in München ist ein wunderschönes, historisches Grand Hotel, das mit seinem Charme und der eleganten Einrichtung besticht. Das Gebäude wirkt an manchen Stellen etwas angestaubt, was vor allem auf das hohe Alter des Hauses zurückzuführen ist – hier könnte man eventuell den ein oder anderen modernen Akzent setzen. Mein Zimmer (Superior-Kategorie) war sehr schön, geräumig und hochwertig ausgestattet, jedoch leider auch sehr hellhörig. Die Geräuschkulisse ist aufgrund der baulichen Gegebenheiten nicht ideal, was es schwer macht, Ruhe zu finden. Das Personal hat jedoch alles wieder wettgemacht. Es war in allen Bereichen extrem freundlich, zuvorkommend und professionell – ein echtes 5-Sterne-Hotel-Erlebnis. Auch kleinere Mängel im Zimmer wurden innerhalb von nur einer Stunde sofort behoben. Die Sauberkeit war makellos und das Housekeeping hat einen hervorragenden Job gemacht. Das Bett war sehr bequem, und die Speisen, die über den Room Service bestellt wurden, waren von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Insgesamt ein sehr gutes Hotel, das ich definitiv weiterempfehlen kann. Wer jedoch eher moderne Hotels bevorzugt, ist hier vermutlich nicht gut aufgehoben. Die Preise sind zwar hoch, aber für die exzellente Lage im Herzen Münchens und den rundum erstklassigen Service absolut gerechtfertigt.
