Conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from JR Nagoya Station. There are numerous casual restaurants offering a variety of options, including sushi, unagi, and tonkatsu, as well as convenience stores and drugstores within a 3–8 minute walk. If you enjoy walking and the weather is good, you can even reach Nagoya Castle on foot. Nagoya Station itself is connected to two massive department store buildings, similar to Macy’s or Nordstrom in major U.S. cities like NYC, Chicago, and SF, with countless restaurants and shops throughout. The rooms may feel significantly smaller compared to those in the U.S., but they are impeccably clean, and Japan’s high-tech toilets are unbeatable! The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly, and the buffet-style breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options, both of which were delicious. My room didn’t have the greatest view, but I can’t speak for others.
