Great location, great house, needs maintenance

Awesome location, short walk to beach. Great overall design for a large group. Pool and hottub were in perfect condition. Furnishings somewhat old and the home needs maintenance. Broken outdoor seating, broken toilet paper holders, etc. Small stuff, but stuff that should be addressed prior to renting. Overall, it’s a great house and would be a 5 star with general maintenance.

Relaxing spring break getaway

The location is excellent - short walk to beach access, easy drive to great restaurants, Jockey's Ridge, and other kid-friendly attractions. Quiet street in the off-season and it was great to take the dogs for beach walks several times a day. Clean house and we didn't notice any of the uncomfortable beds that other reviewers have mentioned. The major issue for us was that the house changed ownership a few weeks before our stay and the new owners did not get the house ready. 1) The air conditioner that cooled the lower two levels was broken and wasn't repaired until halfway through our stay. Thankfully, it was April and not too hot, but bedrooms got super stuffy and due to loud neighbors, we couldn't sleep with windows open. 2) The cable and wifi were turned off and required three visits from the property management company and then the internet company to replace physical gear and activate the account. This also took several days to clear up. Both internet and a/c issues meant that we repeatedly had to return to the house early from activities to be there while repair people were in the house due to our dogs being with us. 3) The kitchen lacked basic supplies that are kind of in the interest of the owner to provide, like trash bags. And if you want to have salt and pepper, better bring your own!

Nice, but could use a few updates.

Great location and nice house. Easy walk to the beach, just across a semi-busy road. Easy to ride bikes either direction on sidewalk. Good pool but needs cushions and umbrellas around it. New charcoal grill. The rooms are nice size. The Master bedroom is nice but desperately needs a new mattress. It is very worn and uncomfortable. Two big dents on either side of the mattress. Bed covers were very outdated. No starter paper or cleaning products at all. All the decks need updated furniture. It was very noisy at most times in side. Traffic could be heard very loudly. Nice game room with pool table, foosball and air hockey.
