We are a family of four with two tween/teen children. The room was large enough for us and kids enjoyed the bunk beds very much. The public area was clean and facilities were very good. There was a laundry located in the public bath which was really convenient for us travelling long in Japan. The only downside was the service from certain staffs. There were three ladies at the reception at the night we checked-in, we were trying to figure out the procedure and requirements of the hotel. None of the ladies came up to explain providing one of them can speak fluent English. I asked one of the staff if she could help calling a restaurant to Nagoya for reservations. She refused to help. This was very different to what we had experienced in other hotels/Ryokan in Japan. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Great place! Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, the bath was very nice, courteous hotel staff, delicious breakfasts- with some local dishes. Very easy to walk around and to get to the train station.

Great basecamp for hiking in the surrounding area. Rooms were small, but clean with all expected amenities . Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was a nice selection of local and western dishes. The onsen was a very nice bonus
