Wonderful reef fish station !

Nice location on a channel between two islands. A wonderful reef patch in front of the resort, where many species of fishes and corals can easily be observed at a shallow water depth. Water visibility is low because of a high plancton content: that's why manta rays pass by from time to time: they feed on it ! Snorkeling farther away does not give much more, except crossing a black tip shark or some stingrays occasionally. Beware of tidal current. Food is correct, but service very slow. Personnel kind and smiling. Rooms are nice, correctly maintained. WiFi in rooms is somewhat uncertain.

BON HOTEL PROPRE ET ACCUEILLANT

Tres bon sejour, personnel accueillant, cuisine excellente, dommage le temps n'était pas terrible... Par contre, je ne trouve pas normal de payer la premiÚre journée en pension complÚte, lorsqu'on arrive vers 15 heures, et que l'on se paie les hot dogs, car nous sommes trop tard pour le repas, ce que je comprends, mais à ce moment là, que l'on ne paie pas ce fast food....

Top : snorkeling. Flop : restaurant.

Joli endroit avec trĂšs beau spot de snorkeling juste devant. Les raies mantas Ă  proximitĂ© (lorsque c'est la saison) et ce fut extraordinaire de nager avec elles. En revanche, le restaurant n'est pas Ă  la hauteur avec une nourriture mĂ©diocre et trĂšs lente (plus d'une heure pour ĂȘtre servis). Les douches froides et les toilettes sĂšches. Il faut y aller sur une courte pĂ©riode pour le snorkeling et voir des raies mantas mais ne pas s'Ă©terniser car l'hĂŽtel n'en vaut pas la peine.

A must if you’re island hopping through the Yasawa

Best coral reefs I’ve seen. The service was decent, everyone was very kind and hospitable. Some times you have be a little persistent if there’s a certain activity you want to do, mostly due to staffing issues I think. I think a good way to fix this is to have the front office get if WhatsApp to communicate with guests better. Food was mediocre to good. The only fish they served was Waloo which can be harsh on the digestive tract for some people.
You can substitute pizza for lunch or dinner.

The resort is fantastic if you are looking for a quiet on the beach stay. If you want luxurious accommodations this is not the place but it is very nice and comfortable for us. Walked out the front door to the ocean and reef snorkeling right there. Awesome.

We travelled with two teenage boys. We all had a great time. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Staff were greeting each of our family members from the first day. Diving was great. Snorkling from the beach in front of the resort was amazing. Nice coral full of life. Food was good as well. We had a beach villa. It was excellent and close to the main area of the resort.

Waited over am hour for my breakfast (I was the very last person served food despite getting to breakfast at a reasonable time) and almost missed the boat for my morning tour as a result. Very few amenities/ activities. Glad we only stayed one night as not a lot to do at the resort.

I cannot say enough good things about my time at this resort. It definitely exceeded all of my expectations. The location is beautiful, the meals were good, the room (beachfront villa) was amazing and the staff were wonderful. The ONLY word of advice I have is to make sure you bring a few between meal snacks with you. There are no options to grab a little something to snack on after hours of snorkeling
. IF you are actually willing to get out of the water. I had tears when it came time to leave. There is no question about going back. All ready planning my next trip.

The property was clean and well maintained. The staff were excellent and very eager to please. We hired snorkelling gear from the dive hut and found it to be below standard. The purge valve was clogged with sand and the clasp in my mask was absent. Otherwise, everything was great!

This was such a lovely relaxed but well presented resort. The coral reef snorkling is fanrastic from the beach. The staff were lovely the food was Its a perfect 3 star resort, would highly reccomend for a low key relaxed holiday.

If you've done your homework and you know what to expect when you arrive, this place is excellent for a few days away. The staff are so friendly and helpful - they get to know you by name almost immediately. For a place with dozens of people coming and going every week, that's a really nice touch, so thank you Rosa, Mika, Ropate, Taveki, Save, and so many more. We stayed in the beachfront villa so I can't speak to the quality of other accommodations, but we were happy with the room. The shower was open to the sky but we didn't have problems with bugs in the room or anything. Just keep the door closed most of the time. Being able to sit in a beach hammock and watch the sunrise was fantastic. The main guest lounge near the beach has drinks and snacks, along with easy access to the dive shop, activity bure, and plenty of places to relax. The quality of the meals was one of our favourite things of all, and we always left the dining area feeling satisfied. Some things to note (not bad things, just good to know): - not all drinks are included with the meal plan. Water is drinkable around the resort and morning coffee/juice up in the dining area is free, but everything else ranges from $6.50-$25 depending on what you get. - the resort is built onto a hillside, so you'll be climbing up and down some paths and stairs a few times every day. - you can get cell data on site with a Fiji e-SIM. Overall we loved it. Go to disconnect, relax, eat well, and enjoy the sea around you.

I had an amazing week at Manta Ray Island Resort. The best thing about my experience was the Fijian people and Sunny. The Fijians who work there are some of the kindest, happy and most genuine humans I’ve met. My room was very comfortable. There was so many things to do there. If I wasn’t snorkeling I was walking on the beach, paddling on a stand up, fishing from the beach or offshore. The waters off the beach were incredible with sea life. I got dive certified there, and I highly recommend all the individuals as instructors and or dive buddies, especially Wise. I am looking forward to returning soon. My only constructive criticism is that I think the proteins tended to be overcooked
fish, chicken and beef. Otherwise, the food was good. Also, I think the resort should make all visitors aware before their trip that the resort doesn’t take any currency other than Fiji dollars. The paddleboards need some fins. I highly recommend this resort.

Welcome home- this resort was the highlight of my summer! Offers beautiful ocean-front stays, a lovely walkable beach, and easy access to snorkeling and diving. Food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. Wish I could visit every month!

Stayed right on the beach. They didn’t have water the day before we arrived so they were working hard on it while there and got it going. Owner was easy to talk with. Snorkeling was amazing, rained lots but had lots of fun!
