🌊 BEACH INFORMATION



The beachfront at Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that impact the beach’s physical appearance and size.
During fall and winter, sand may be swept away, limiting direct access from the property. The sand typically returns in spring and summer.



Our HOA, County of Maui, and the State of Hawaiʻi are actively working to restore Kahana Bay to its full potential.



While beach access may vary seasonally, there is public beach access within a 5-minute walk.
(Photos taken on 1/16/23 show usable beach, but this is not guaranteed year-round.)

PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS:
Due to Maui’s rural location, you may experience the occasional rooster or harmless gecko. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaiʻi. The HOA schedules regular professional pest control, but insects and small wildlife cannot be entirely eliminated in a tropical climate.



HAWAIʻI CLIMATE:
Hawaiʻi’s tropical environment allows insects, rodents, and lizards to thrive. If guests encounter more than expected, we will work with the HOA promptly to minimize interactions. Our units are thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Contact with such pests does not constitute a breach of agreement or justify refunds or adjustments.
