This property takes one a step back in time. David, the owner and host, lives in the upper portion of the antebellum house. He was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions for local food and fun. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and full of antique furnishings. The grounds are manicured and lovely. There was WiFi but no television in the room. The bed was super comfortable and the location is serene. As this is his family property handed down generation to generation, we were very happy David shared it with us. I would recommend staying in this historic house and let your mind wonder about all the walls could tell, if they could only talk.
Beautifully restored period property. Our room & bathroom were very comfortable with good supply of toiletries. There was a fridge in our room but to make a hot drink there was a common room that had a coffee pod machine, kettle & a fridge with lots of cold drink choice & savoury and sweet snacks - all complimentary.. which was excellent. Met Lee & David on check-in but didn’t see them on check out as they’d left a note they’d gone back upstairs which assume meant don’t disturb so couldn’t thank them for the stay. We had our own private exit door from our room to the garden and outside gate which was convenient. Parking right outside on street. Breakfast is in a community run cafe 6 min walk away. Reasonable choice
My stay at the Choctaw was perfect.
The staff was extremely kind and helpful, and the room was impeccable (large, beautiful and thoughtfully well-equipped).
I really enjoyed it. Thanks!
I do not typically stay in B&B's. Long story. But this entire experience was an absolute delight. The owners are adorable and friendly. The house is beautiful in a fantastic location, easily walkable to the main part of Natchez. You want to go to Natchez and stay in a museum? This is the spot.
My husband and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to stay at Choctaw Hall during a recent trip to Natchez. We’d been to many historic homes on our journey in the U.S. South but Choctaw Hall is truly special. The private tour by Lee, delivered with a wealth of information about the home and its antique contents ( china, furniture, mirrors, candelabras, lamps, paintings, ceramics, silver — the list goes on) was a welcome bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable and the lovely common area gave us the chance to engage with other guests. We wish we could have stayed another night. Thanks to Lee and David for sharing their beautiful home. Until next time!

Wonderful historic property and amazing hosts! Great walkable location to restaurants and shopping. Amenities include coffee, tea, juice, water and snacks 24/7. Thanks for a lovely time and the personal home tour!
This is an OUTSTANDING B&B. The hosts could not have been more gracious nor the accommodations more comfortable. My bed, linens and comforter were heaven. I wanted for nothing and even got a personalized tour of the mansion. I fell madly in love with Natchez thus, I will certainly be back.
We were just stopping for one night on route to further travels, and this was a wonderful place to rest. Located in the heart of Natchez, it was close to restaurants and the river. The tour of the home Lee gave before our departure was a bonus.
David and Lee were fantastic. They made us feel very welcome. The fridge was stocked with different drinks, they had coffee readily available any time as well as several different items to snack on during our stay. We would highly recommend staying at Choctaw Hall.
We had a wonderful two-night stay at Choctaw Hall! The home itself is stunning, full of history and charm, and the hospitality was exceptional. The included tour was a definite highlight—well-paced, informative, and a great way to appreciate the beauty and significance of the property.
Breakfast was provided via a coupon system, which gave us flexibility and options, making it easy to find something we enjoyed each morning. The accommodations were comfortable, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Highly recommend Choctaw Hall for anyone visiting the area—whether you're a history lover or just looking for a unique and memorable stay!
An excellent stay with a slice of history at Choctaw hall. David and Lee were so kind, gave us a tour of their home and offered many recommendations for things to do in the area. Breakfast was offered off site which wasn’t a problem for us. The room had its own entrance so you could come and go as you please.
We loved our stay! The historical home and grounds are beautiful. It was near local restaurants and the location is great for walking. The best part was our host, David. He was warm and inviting, full of knowledge about the home and area. He gave us a personal tour and thought of every detail to make our stay full of hospitality. The extra bonus was getting to bring our small dog. We can’t wait to return and look forward to visiting David again. Thank you!!!
Built in 1836, an awesome opportunity to stay in a gorgeous piece of history. Host David was fabulous and our room was on the ground floor with our own access.
