Room was cleaned daily. Evening shows were amazing as they reflect Jamaica. Most of the staff were courteous, but some staff who work in the buffet and restaurants (mostly females) were unfriendly and unwelcoming. We loved fitness classes taught by "Happy Feet". It would be great if you add at least one more class of Riumba per week and /or dance lessons.

We had an amazing experience at the Riu Tropical Bay Negril! The staff were so welcoming, kind, and friendly. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily (if you choose). We had an ocean view and it was beautiful to wake up to. The property was kept up nicely and very well taken care of. There was always a variety of food options daily. We will definitely be coming back!

Not a 5-star hotel. It may have been one back in the day. But not now. At most, I'd give it 3 stars. A beautiful beach and the ocean, yes, but that is not what the stars are given for. Rude and ignorant staff, black mold in the rooms and bathrooms, clogged showers with barely a trickle of water, missing toilet accessories. Average at best food, no decent alcohol whatsoever, even impossible to pay extra/purchase. Slightly better wine is only at the specialty restaurants, but nowhere else. Why?! The hotel insists that everyone use the mobile app. And some genius decided that the maximum number of people per reservation or room is 2. So if you have kids with you or you occupy multiple rooms, you can't make a dinner reservation at a specialty restaurant. Or you must make separate dinner reservations from different mobile phones. But then, when you arrive, the staff tells you that they can only seat you at separate tables. What is the point of all of this?! Poor WiFi at the entire property. Keeps disconnecting constantly. The only way to fix it is to turn the WiFi off and back on on the device. And even then, at times, it just won't work at all. Beach chairs covered by bird poo. Old, washed-out beach towels. The management has been neglecting to maintain the hotel for a while... My experience makes me NOT want to come back to Jamaica again.

We booked and paid for a room to accommodate four people, but were initially given a room suitable for only two, which was very uncomfortable. After speaking with staff, we were moved to a four-person room, but not until our third day. The restaurants were consistently fully booked; we were only able to reserve the steakhouse on our last day, and the food was very poor. Additionally, a hotel alarm went off every night at 4 a.m., repeatedly disturbing our sleep. Positives: • Plenty of sun loungers available at both the beach and pool; no need to reserve early • Beautiful beach with calm waters • Well-maintained garden areas

From the moment I arrived at the property, Beverly was determined to take excellent care of me. She embodies the true spirit of my island and reminded me what it means to experience genuine Jamaican love. The food was amazing, even my picky eater enjoyed every meal! My 7-year-old daughter felt so safe and comfortable that she confidently got her own food and visited the children’s club on her own. Words cannot express how proud I am of RIU Negril. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

i didn’t like how the desk personnel treated me on a incident I had there. i paid for two suites but treated me like I was off the street. I come to jamaica like every two months sometimes I bring 100 friends with me but to be honest moving forward I will probably use another resort
