This place is stata world behind, the room had no fridge, no wi-fi air conditioning doesnât works, have to change rooms after second night but it was still the same problem, we pay for four adults and we only have one toilet roll a day. Service was very poor. I will not go back there again or recommend anyone to this poor service place like this.
Not clean and facility quality not good broken toilet seat, kitchen bench no stove in the kitchen, fridge not working , no dishes in the kitchen and set up is not good at all.
They did not have rooms available despite the booking and did not have the advertised number of beds in the rooms. They found rooms eventually, but floors were dusty with furniture falling apart. Only cold water the first night, tepid the second, and water that only dripped the third. The A/C shut off after 30 minutes no matter what setting was used, which they seemed to know and did nothing about. Credit card machine was not working, and they said they would try again on Monday. Instead, they banged on the door at 9 PM and made us go to an ATM across the street to pull the full amount in the dark. Cockroaches on the floor, pool was completely green and slimy, no effort to maintain. They did not offer meals and did not provide accurate advice on where and when we could get food for the family on Sunday, when almost everything in town was closed (I could have prepared if Iâd known nothing was available until 11:00).
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, check in was quick and easy, comfortable bed. Great location, close to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
This property is nothing like the photos! No reception! No restaurant! Rooms dirty, bedding unchanged, excessive mould in the shower, cockroaches everywhere!! Avoid at all costs.
I booked this property (and pre-paid) on Expedia. I got to the hotel around noon and was told that check-in time was 2pm. No problem I said and sat in the "lobby" area and checked some emails. After an hour and a half the girl at the front desk came and said I had a phone call from her boss. She put me on the phone with him and he proceeded to tell me that they didn't actually have any rooms and that they would have to put me up somewhere else. They put me in a bed and breakfast with a shared living area with 3 other people. No apologies were made.
A large light room with balcony and uninterrupted sea views, right on the waterfront in town. Air conditioner didnât work, pedestal fan sounded like a train until I fixed it, got electric shock off fan and fridge, lights above beds didnât work, shower door didnât close so the floor was flooded each time. Mattresses were worn. One dining chair and two tables were the only furniture. No chairs to sit out on balcony. It was hard to sleep at night due to being uncomfortably hot. This hotel has seen much better days. We stayed there for two nights because it was the only one available. The staff tried hard, room cleaning was good.
The staff here is absolutely wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and remembered my name. The people were the only upside - I would not stay here again.
1. You have to pay a cash deposit of $100. This is frustrating because you get back $100 on your last day in Vava'u and have no time to spend it.
2. My first room was very barren and had a broken toilet (couldn't flush) and ceiling that leaked rain. I was given another room which was better. The second room was a little cleaner and had more furniture and a fridge. I wondered why my first room didn't have these basic amenities.
3. There was no chef during half my stay. I was told the chef isn't working but there's a kitchen I can use. I bought spaghetti and asked the receptionist where I could cook it but she said there was no stove.
4. Men who did not speak english banged on my door one day very loudly. I didn't let them in so they kept banging (not knocking, banging loudly on the door). As a solo traveler, I was really uncomfortable. They wanted to come in my room but I couldn't tell why so I didn't let them in. Later one of the English-speaking workers explained they wanted to take one of my room fans to bring to another room. That was perfectly fine but I wish it was done in a less scary manner, or while I was out for the day.
5. My room was so unclean I wore shoes inside for my 6 nights here.
The view is amazing but the resort could step up on cleanliness.
1) do not use the spray soap on floor. It caused the floor to be very sticky. The dirt on floor even after 1 mop is beyond. I bring my own bedroom slippers and it looks like it just walked on mud puddle. Suggest just mop the floor with clean water. In this way, the room could be cleaner.
2) room cleaning is just taking out rubbish and giving u fresh towels. The beds are not made and my single bed doesnt even has a blanket. It is just the bedsheet and pretend to be blanket. Lucky we got the fan room and not aircon room
3) fan room. Pls buy a bigger fan. The fan is small and so mild that it is useless on hot day. Good we are next to ocean and with breeze, it is bearable
4) restaurant staff are extremely friendly that made up the condition of room.
Sincerely hoping this feedback is taken so more people will be coming back...
The room was spacious and comfortable but not all the lights worked and it wasn't very clean. Also they often failed to complete tasks they promised to do for us.
The hotel was quite run down and overall I was disappointed given the price and in comparison to other places I have stayed nearby in Vava'u and in Tonga. There was no wifi, contrary to the property description. Not temporarily down, not available. My room was not serviced on one of the three days I was there.
