Enjoy your stay in paradise, close to the beach, feet in the sand, under the sun-kissed tropics.
We will welcome you to Nettle Bay. Located on the French side, this quiet neighborhood is located on a strip of sand linking Terres-Basses to Marigot.
Discover a magnificent panoramic view of the ocean and the hills of our Friendly Island, Saint-Martin. It is the ideal place for an unforgettable holiday.
The villa is located near the beach, in a quiet, private and secure residence (24 hour monitoring), with four swimming pools (first swimming pool : 30 meters from the accommodation) and outdoor showers. Air-conditioned, the apartment is equipped for two or four people. Located on ground floor, it offers a breathtaking view of the sea which is only 50 meters away. In the accommodation you will find:
- A King-size bed et one Queen size
- A closet with storage for clothes, suitcases... You will also find transportable deckchairs for the beach.
- A kitchen with quality elements : an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, freezer, electric hotplates as well, everything you need to prepare your meals !
- Two television
- Two shower room/toilet, including a washing machine
- A terrace not overlooked, for a relaxation moment in a complete privacy

The owner will welcome you on site and give you the access badge to the private residence. You will have access to the entire Villa.
Parking is also monitored and free.

- the villa which is completely independent (access, equipment, etc.), the spaces are not shared. Living nearby, we are therefore fully available at any time for any questions, assistance and/or recommendations.

⁃ The accommodation is self-sufficient in water with a connection to a cistern. In case of general water service interruption on the island, this system will supply you with water.

⁃ A canoe kayak is available and free for the travelers. You'll be able to visit many spots around the corner, we will advise you on the best routes. We also offer a picnic kit for your outdoor meals.

⁃ An event (wedding anniversary, honeymoon, others
)? Do not hesitate ! Tell us about it when you book, we adapt the decoration and reserve little surprises.

The villa is located in Nettle Bay, a quiet area, close to the sea. Several beach bars and restaurants just a few minutes walk away ! Marigot which has restaurants and shops is less than 2km away.
Nearby and a few steps away, you'll find several activities such as horse riding or water sports, but also shops (bakery, CadisMarket mini-market, pharmacy, gas station, car rental agency, hair salon).
This is a beautiful appreciated location for travellers.
The two airports are very close : Princess Juliana International Airport 7.6 km (10-13min) and Saint Martin Grand Case Airport 10km (14-20min). We recommend a car rental, it is the ideal way to explore all the beauty of Saint-Martin.
Need a taxi ? They are very present and move all over the island.

Tout simplement WOW!!!

DĂšs notre arrivĂ©e, Pascal et Betty nous ont accueillis et nous ont fait sentir comme Ă  la maison. Tout Ă©tait parfait. Betty avait mĂȘme mis des rafraĂźchissements au frigo! La villa Ă©tait exactement comme les photos. Tout le nĂ©cessaire Ă©tait lĂ  et que dire de l’environnement
 superbe! Nous Ă©tions 4 et un couple dormait sur le divan-lit qui Ă©tait trĂšs confortable. Nous avons eu un pĂ©pin lors d’une expĂ©dition, Pascal et Betty nous ont trĂšs gentiment aidĂ©s, voir sauvĂ©s. Ils ont Ă©tĂ© plus que des hĂŽtes et c’est comme si nous les connaissions depuis toujours! Beautiful Private Villa

Our family was looking for a restful, private, quiet, serene place to play and this place was it. Upon our touchtown in beautiful St. Maarten, we were in touch with our host, Pascal and Betty. They were kind and helpful right from the beginning. They showed us around and helped us get settled in right away. Throughout our stay they checked in on us and answered our questions rather quickly, which we appreciated.. We definitely needed a car to get around, but there were enough amazing restaurants and even a grocery store nearby that made it convenient to stay close and relax. The pool and outdoor sitting area were lovely. Sitting out and watching the waves made for nice afternoons with the family. We are so grateful to get everything we needed and then some during this time away. And even more thankful for such gracious hosts during our stay.

Nettle bay sanctuary

This is the perfect base to explore St Martin. Located in a secure, quiet gated community with beach front access, pool and patio. A well stocked kitchen and lots of little additions like extra beach equipment, that made everything easy. Already planning our return trip!

Private and Quiet!

Our first time to St. Martin and we chose an unforgettable place to stay! Our host, Pascal welcomed us warmly upon arrival to the gated community and showed us around the immaculate, well appointed and air conditioned cottage. He lives in the unit upstairs and was attentive to our needs, but gave us privacy to "vacation." The grounds blew us away! Quiet and private, we spent every day in the warm ocean, only steps from our walk out unit, and in one of the four huge pools on the complex. We walked mornings to a French express bakery for reasonably priced fresh croissants and coffee, as well as to a market for groceries for our unit. We rented a car for this trip, and could go in either direction out of the grounds to other adventures all over the island. Nettle Bay is a gem on St. Martin, and Pascal est un hĂŽte magnifique!

Thanks for great memories!

My husband & I spent 10 wonderful days at Betty & Pascal's idyllic place. We have been blessed to stay at many Vrbos and this is our favorite. The view is incredible from the kitchen/living/dinning area and especially sitting on the large patio with lush plantings, sculptures and attractive abient lighting. The kitchen is fully stocked with beautiful dishes and everything you need to prepare your meals. Within walking distance there is a market, two bakeries and several restaurants. We had a wonderful meal overlooking the sea at Mezza Luna next door to the property. The food and service are excellent. Nettle Bay Rotisserie has delicious quiches, souffles, whole roasted chickens and more. We had a car and visited Orient Beach, Grand Case, Marigot, Friars Bay Beach, Simpson Bay Beach & Phillipsburg. We enjoyed swimming in the large, pristine pool just meters from the patio. Betty & Pascal are warm, delightful people and we look forward to returning in the future!

Trip of a lifetime!

This was the perfect place for out vacation! Nice and quiet, right on the beach, walk to a little convenience store (try the cumin gouda!), a great restaurant, and a patisserie )try everything!). Betty and Pascal were WONDERFUL hosts, and we loved their dog, Lucky. The views are stunning, the home is beautiful and comfortable, and the hosts are very friendly! We cannot wait to go back, and when we do, we are planning on booking with Betty and Pascal again!

A stay in paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nettle Bay. The villa exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully landscaped with a spectacular view of the beach and mountains with a swimming pool practically right out your door. We did have a little bit of a language barrier, but the owner, Betty, was terrific in responding to our needs. One thing to note is that the French side of the island pretty much closes down during low season which meant we ventured over to the Dutch side for most of our dinners. We would highly recommend this villa located in beautiful Nettle Bay.

There were three of us on this trip and we all absolutely loved this place! Betty and Pascal are amazing hosts and went above and beyond of for us on our six night stay. We forgot to bring a few essentials and they made sure to get it for us when they didn't have to do that. You can tell they really care about making sure their guests have an excellent experience on the island. The property is located in a gated community and was incredibly peaceful and quiet. The pool and beach were never crowded and at times we had both to ourselves. There is a market and restaurant within 5 minutes walking distance. The restaurant is right on the beach as well so you can enjoy your dinner with an excellent view. Our favorite part of the property was the private terrace which also has amazing views of the island. We could have sat on the terrace all day and enjoyed the tranquil setting if we weren't so determined to take in all the island had to offer! The kitchen was very convenient as well, and includes everything you need to make your own meals if you get tired of eating out. I would highly recommend this place for your next stay. You will not find better hosts than Betty and Pascal!

A GREAT STAY!

Just returned from a 16-day stay in this sweet spot. Betty and Pascal live onsite (along with dog Lucky) so are available for any questions or issues. They are super hosts and had some great recommendations. The unit is just as depicted. King bed in the bedroom. Two full baths with shower. There is a foldout couch in the living room. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals if you wish. The Sandy Ground location is an easy 10 min drive to Marigot (lots of great restaurants) and 20 min to Grand Case (more great restaurants). A very good, reasonable restaurant beside the Beach Club (Mezza Luna) and another, more expensive super restaurant (La Cigale) just a minute drive from the property. And another super reasonable (Cote Lagon) next to La Cigale. There is a convenience store market Cadisco a minute from the unit. Lots of supplies available for basic needs. L’Express coffee and pastry shop also close by. Another grocery is called New Choice less than a mile from the Beach Club has a very good selection of groceries and in Marigot the SuperU is very large. Parking is very convenient at Nettle Bay just outside the unit. If you are looking for night club action and lots of people, this isn’t for you. Nettle Bay Beach Club is quiet and peaceful. It is built in 4 coves, each with its own large pool. The pools are absolutely pristine, large for swimming laps and by the sea. If you are located on the most central cove, there is a small swimming beach. The rest of the coves are really not swimmable. We were not bothered by this as there are so many swimming beaches on the island. Betty and Pascal provide a cooler, beach chairs and beach towels for that purpose. If you take the ferry over to Pinel Island for the day be mindful they don’t take credit cards. Most restaurants on St. Martin do take cc, however they don’t all let you put the tip on the card. Just be sure to always have cash for that purpose. We had a great time and would recommend this place.

Great stay with killer views, pool steps away and hosts that care

Our week long stay was wonderful, and we credit a lot of that to our hosts, Pascal and Betty. They helped with our rental car, gave us great dining ideas (Rosemary's in Marigot was wonderful and not expensive at all), excursion suggestions (Scoobidoo!) and answered our every question. The unit was filled with everything you need, including plush beach towels, lounge chairs to soak up the sun, washer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, etc., you just need to bring yourself and your bathing suit and a few changes of clothes. We brought way more than we needed to. We felt safe at the complex, not once was there anything to be afraid of. The pool was sparkling clean and the grounds were kept clean, garbage picked up daily. We walked to the bakery more often than we should have and picked up bread to make sandwiches to take to the beach. We found Mulley Bay Beach to be our favorite and it was a 10 minute drive from the unit. Pascal and Betty provide beach chairs, beach umbrella (2), coolers and noodles, all which we took to the beach and therefore we didn't have to pay for chairs/umbrellas/beer each day, saving us at least $30 each time we went to the beach. There were many of us on the beach who brought our own stuff and it was never a problem. We went to the Carrefor (sp) supermarket and bought groceries and we even found a 5% off coupon in one of the magazines in the house. There is a Cadismarket right by the house but it is limited. The closest Carrefor is a smaller one on the way to Mullet Bay Beach and they have quite a lot, but for a much larger selection, go to the bigger one and buy for the week. The bed at the house was comfortable, the a/c unit got really cold, the water pressure was great (and no worries about losing water, Betty was smart and had a cistern installed at the house so if the island loses water, you don't). The view from the bank of windows facing the water is gorgeous and to thoroughly enjoy the house make sure to sit outside at the comfortable table and eat your meals under the sunshade while listening to the waves. This house was wonderful for our stay and we wished we would have stayed longer. Pascal and Betty really go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and will help with any questions you have. Do not hesitate to rent from them as you will not be disappointed. We will be back!

Heaven on Earth at Nettle Bay!

From beginning to end, our hosts far exceeded our expectations! The property itself is beautiful and is exactly as per listed. Nettle Bay area was the best location for our vacation, and is central to every must see attraction, surrounding beaches and the airport. We can't begin to say how highly we recommend booking with Betty and Pascal. Our vacation would not have been as enjoyable, smooth and satisfying if it weren't for having this paradise of a property and the most easy-going and friendliest hosts ever. From the start of our booking to the end of our trip, Betty and Pascal were so easy to communicate with, and during our vacation...anything and everything you could ask for was readily provided including some of the best touristy questions asked! We are already booking our next vacation with this property, and have already started recommending to all our family and friends :) Betty and Pascal...thank you so much for the best time ever in St. Martin!!! Lovely studio

I rented this studio with my travel buddy niece for a St Martin vacation. It was simply delightfully clean, had so many amenities (stove, fridge, washer, hot tub, cooler, beach chairs w umbrella), and was in a private gated community which was beautiful. Betty was so helpful and quick to attend to our needs from extra adapters to beach chairs for visits to Friars Bay Beach. We loved her friendly dog too! I would recommend this place to others who enjoy a vacation but prefer a quiet space to be away from it all. This property was walking distance to a gas station/grocery store, a boulangerie, a liquor store, pharmacy, and 3 restaurants. What a hidden treasure! We rented a car to explore the island and there was plenty of parking near our studio. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

We Escaped Winter! ☀ 🏝

A lovely second floor studio overlooking beautiful Nettle Bay and pool. Suitable facilities for a couple. We appreciated the private terrace with hot tub after a long day out. The description and photos are accurate. Laundry facilities in our unit were much appreciated! We felt safe being in a gated community with security gates & guard. Our hosts were very friendly, helpful and prompt to address any concerns. Thank you, Betty & Pascal, for making our 1 month winter getaway vacation a memorable one!

Paradise!!

The picture on VRBO is the view out of the main window in the Apartment. It was gorgeous. It is an upstairs apartment, with all facilities to cook if you want, or drive a short distance to restaurants if you want to eat out. Betty and Pascal are great hosts.

Tres magnifique!

The perfect choice for an unforgettable vacation offering comfort, safety, amenities and access. Pascal and Betty were wonderful hosts, welcoming us to stay in their charming and renovated studio loft with a cold bottle of champagne and a warm jacuzzi. The beach village, just like the island, is well on its way to recovery after Irma’s heartbreaking destruction. Restaurants and shops were welcoming and the beaches are a slice of relaxing heaven. Island traffic can be a chore - we rented a car and between the congestion, narrow and/or steep roads, and parking gamble, we were happy to find a nice spot and stay put for the day. Come to St. Martin and consider staying with Pascal and Betty at their lovely property. You’ll be just like us post vacation: sitting in the airport, relaxed and smiling.

sadly, unable to go due to the damage caused by Irma

Sadly, due to the damage caused to airport and homes on the island by Irma as well as the fact that there was no drinking water or electricity for a long time, we were unable to travel there (and would have been a burden on the island's infrastructure if we had. Unfortunately, VRBO was unwilling to refund any of their fees or the first payment even though we canceled months before our travel. So, I will not be using VRBO again.
