Beautiful Executive Estate Only 20 Minutes from New Orleans

This Beautiful 5 bedroom house is only minutes away from New Orleans, La. It is the perfect vacation spot if you are looking to get away, relax and unwind. It is also perfectg if you are looking for a family fun time. This home has all the amenities you can imagine with a full size tennis court, swimming pool, large backyard with a lake for boating and kayaking.

This beautiful home is walking distance from the slidell's mall, fine restaurants, theaters, and shopping being just minutes away, yet it feels as though you have escaped to a distant island far from it all.

Whatever your pleasure, be it canoeing, kayaking or fishing you can do it right on side our lake. A canoe along with life jackets and paddles, two kayaks are provided for your pleasure. If you just want to unwind and relax in private, sitting poolside is that perfect spot to sit back, perhaps read a good book and enjoy the sunset.

The den, dining room and kitchen are an open floor plan with large screen tv. The house also consist of what we call "a party room which includes stereo surround sound in and outside and an all glass view of the entire yard over looking the swimming pool, lake, tennis court and beautiful scenery of nature. This room also includes a full size bar where you can sit and enjoy drinks with family and friends and enjoy nice tones. Or if your in the mood for dancing there is enough space for the whole crew to enjoy line dancing etc. The master suite is completely private with a California King bed, and has a sliding glass door for direct access to the yard. The master bath has a beautiful large jacuzzi tub surrounded by all glass mirrors. The master bath also includes a walk in shower that has a steam room built inside!! The serene 2nd bedroom has a queen bed with beautiful double french doors. The 3rd fun bedroom/office is complete with a queen bed and beautiful wooden shelves. It has a beautiful view of the front yard. Each bedroom is furnished with a large screen tv and luxury linens.

The host was very nice and left great recommendations for restaurants and things to do, also provided a bottle of champagne. No issues with communication!The house on the other hand needs major upgrades/remodeling. It’s clearly an older home that has not aged well. The floor plan didn’t make sense, appears they tried to create extra rooms, but it’s weird. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of cleanliness. It was evident that the house was not cleaned prior to our stay with the amounts of dust all over the place, ton of glass mirrors clearly had not been cleaned in a while, and the couch in the living room area was white and dirty. They should trash all bath towels and purchase new ones. I was too afraid the pool had not been cleaned so I didn’t let the kids swim, but they really enjoyed feeding the turtles and playing basketball. I sadly don’t think the stay was worth the extremely high cost I paid.

Spacious with Several Amenities

My family and I selected this location as it was a short drive to NOLA and the home has something for everyone from swimming, basketball, kayaking and the game room. My sister absolutely loved the sunroom overlooking the pool.The neigborhood was quiet and we felt safe during our visit. The owner, Ferdinand, was awesome as well! He was a great host, attentive to the needs of his guests and very responsive. We highly recommend! Thank you Ferdinand for being a great host!

Amazing home with awesome amenities!

The property is even better then advertised! Amazing house withe a pool, tennis/basketball court, game room, and more! Check in and check out process with the honeowner couldnt have gone smoother with the nicest people! Easy 10 out of 10 and we WILL be staying here again when in town

The stay was ok, not great

Pro's 1. Location. Close to stores & interstate. 2. Quiet neighborhood. 3. Safe area. Nice neighborhood, not a lot of traffic. 4. Spacious home. Plenty of parking & easy access. 5. Pool & hot tub were clean & well maintained. 6. Owner was friendly. 7. Comfortable beds. 8. Air conditioners work well. Con's 1. Home is dated. In dire need of updating.Toilet paper holders rusting. Towels with holes. Picturesque windows overlooking pool & pond damaged & hazed- can't see through. Comforters stored on the floor in the closet. 2. Entire house needs a deep cleaning. Someone needs to get in the corners, everywhere, a deep cleaning in the kitchen, carpets (also need tightening) bathrooms & furniture fabric- all dirty. 3. Some faucets in the kitchen & bathrooms have build up or broken. 4. Mold in bathroom 5. Seals around doors are worn & inadequate. Bugs easily enter, especially at night. Older home but has potential. It's easy to see where additions to the house were made. For example, you have to enter the master bedroom through an adjoining bedroom. There isn't a door to the main bedroom from the hall. The dishwasher was broken. The owner answered right away when we called Friday morning but a repairman didn't come Friday or Saturday, we left Sunday. We had a quick walk through but didn't walk around inspecting the entire home when we first arrived, noting all things that were wrong. Now I know that when using VRBO, take pictures while there & complain during stay.

weekend visit with friends and family

We had a gathering of 7 friends and family (4 adults and 3 teens) that wanted to all stay in the same location. The beds were clean and comfortable. Three full bathrooms had hot water for every shower. They provided plenty of towels, wash cloths, pool towels, and extra bedding if needed. The neighborhood was quiet. The pool/hot tub was clean. The kayaks were a bit hit - along with feeding the turtles and fish in the pond. Everything was as pictured, The owners were very easy to communicate with- he met us at the house to show us how to use the hot tub etc and give us the key. They were very helpful and polite.

Lots to do

We visited with our 3 kids (10-15 yo) and had a great time. The house was clean and spacious, and our kids loved kayaking and fishing on the pond and swimming in the pool. The pool was sparkling clean and the dive board was a huge hit. There are loads of clean towels and plenty of basic cleaning items. Thanks for a great stay!

This home was exactly like the pictures.

We really enjoyed ourselves. Mr.Ferdinand made the check in process very easy. The property is well taken care of and provided many of the necessities that we needed. If you need anything else,the stores and restaurants were literally down the street. We will definitely be booking again.

Perfect getaway

This was a perfect place for our 2 families. A little over a half hour drive into the city. We spent a couple of days just hanging out in the pool and almost every night in the hot tub. Ferdinand was a wonderful host. Easy to communicate with. Nothing in New Orleans could replicate the amenities offered with this home. The kids, both 16 found plenty of things to keep them interested. Pool and Ping Pong tables got plenty of use. Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely great!

Greats host, easy check-in. Host met us at property on arrival to give us a tour, explain the heating/cooling, the pool and hot tub operation, and answer any questions. Property is huge and in great shape. Myself and 3 business associates stayed, each of us requiring a separate bedroom. Not only did we have separate bedrooms, there are 3 well appointed bathrooms, porch/bar area, formal dining room, tv room, and seating poolside. We enjoyed the clean pool as well as the attached hot tub to relax in after long work events. We will definitely stay here every time we are in town!

This place was amazing. The owner, Ferdinand was so nice and courteous. He showed us around the estate upon arrival. He welcomed us with a bottle of wine for my birthday. The wine was so good. My friends and I will definitely recommend this beautiful clean home.

Absolutely Amazing!!

Our experience was amazing. The property was gorgeous and exactly & described. The place is spacious, the amenities are well thought out. So much to do! The host was amazing and made himself available to us during our stay for questions & suggestions. The neighborhood was nice & quiet, it felt like we were the only ones on the block. This will be the only place I book when visiting the area.

Wonderful stay

Beautiful home. This house had everything we needed, for our family. Plenty of space for the kids to play, and things to keep them entertained. This property is in a nice quiet location, while still conveniently located near, stores and dining options. The owners were very prompt and answered all our questions. Beautiful property!

Exactly as described. Loved the house and the property! So spacious and plenty of room. Loved the pool and hot tub, very relaxing! The pond with the ducks and turtles was so much fun feeding them. Ferdinand was very informative and gave us a tour of the house and listings of restaurants and things to do in the area. Husband is in a wheelchair and was able to maneuver most of the house without difficulty. Will definitely be interested in booking again.
