Summary:
Concrete floors and minimalist interiors afford impeccable cleanliness and
a sense of calm. Our rooms and amenities are designed to set a backdrop for
a life of adventure and inspiration, without the clutter of everyday existence.
From the lush gardens in the corridor to the custom-made furniture, the design
and amenities at Claudia have been thoughtfully considered in an effort to make
your stay restful, enjoyable, and reflective of the spirit of New Orleans.

The Space:
Built in 1953 by well known New Orleans architects Wess and Silverstein, the
property has been transformed to a 5 Suite, 15 room bungalow- tucked
behind brick walls and set amidst lush garden courtyards with a private crystal clear pool. This unit is 8 Bedrooms and 5.5 Bathrooms

Located at the front of the building is Cypress Cakes, a bakeshop that features local and seasonal ingredients. Making all products from scratch on site, they offer specialty cakes by the slice, muffins, cookies, pies, morning pastries and more, as well as espresso and coffee from local roaster, Mojo Coffee Roasters. Fully custom cakes are also available for order ahead, perfect any occasion big or small.

At night, it is transformed into Cypress Lounge, a nod to South Louisiana, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. From a cold simple beer to a fine classic cocktail, there's no pretense here, they offer coffee products as well and variety of non alcoholic beverages and a variety of sweet treats for a late night snack. ( Bakery open Thursday - Sunday 8am-3pm // Lounge open Thursday - Sunday 7pm-1am)

The Neighborhood:
Claudia is located on St. Claude Avenue , a few blocks from Frenchmen Street, in the heart of one of
New Orleans’ favorite neighborhoods. In addition to being a unique place to sleep,
Claudia serves as a gathering place and occasional hub of community activity for
locals and visitors alike.

Getting Around:
Easy to navigate on foot or bike. Street Car access at St Claude just across the street. Lyft/Uber/Cab always convenient.

Other Things to Note:
- There is a 3.5% charge on bookings made through home away & our website to cover payment processing fees that cannot be returned in the event a cancellation is necessary.
- Our property is located directly next to a residential neighborhood. We are required to enforce the city’s noise ordinance which does not permit excessive noise outside after 10PM.
- We cannot accommodate bachelorette/ bachelor parties or anything similar. No Parties, Events, Smoking or Pets. Cannot invite guests to the property that are not part of the booking reservation.
- Check-In time is 3:00 PM and Check Out-Time is 11:00 AM.

Family reunion
Our family needed an eight-bedroom house for our New Orleans holiday gathering. This place fit us perfectly, a peaceful retreat within the big city. Weather was too cold for swimming, but we enjoyed looking out at our own private garden. Used the kitchen for many meals in, and walked to the French Quarter for food, music, and entertainment. Best walking route to the French Quarter was via Frenchman Street. Also close to bus route, which we used as well. Host was responsive, check-in simple. Thanks!

Lovely spot!
We absolutely loved the space! The open floor plan and ease of access was amazing. We had a big group coming in for my birthday and we loved how we were all able to have our own space but also convene in the spacious common areas if we wanted to. Fantastic Property for a Large Group
We had a large group of 17 people go to New Orleans to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and this property was PERFECT for our group! We loved the design, cleanliness, and layout of the property, especially that so many of the rooms had their own bathrooms. The pool is completely private in the backyard with tall walls and beautiful greenery surrounding the pool. Craig was fantastic as well and responded quickly to any questions. We asked for a checkout one hour later and he check with the cleaning company and got back to us quickly, which greatly helped our plans for that day and airport arrangements. We would definitely stay there again if we have a large group!

Overall it was a great stay. Close to everything area outside was a little sketchy but not bad. The unit was beautiful comfy and private and we loved the private pool. We will definitely stay there again.

Extended weekend.
Had a great stay at this property. Lots of room for everyone. Pool / patio was a nice space to relax. Walked almost everywhere. Property manager was extremely responsive and quick to help when we needed extra supplies.

Great for a business retreat!
The place is spectacular- great layout and huge spaces. It's downtown NOLA and the neighborhood is urban. However we really enjoyed the area and it was close to EVERYTHING. We will stay again in the future. The host checked on us multiple times during the stay, and even let us stop by before check-in to drop some bags and check the kitchen amenities.
