This was a wonderful facility. We had the suite which consisted of a queen bed and bunk beds which was great for me and my two kids. The room was very clean as was the whole property. The staff was helpful as it was our first time in New Orleans. It is walking distance from Bourbon Street. It is even on the trolley and bus routes. You have to park in a parking garage and walk to the hotel is the only downside but other than that everything was great. Definitely will book this hostel again when I go back to New Orleans.
The hostel is near all the local attractions. You can walk, take the bus, street car...a lot of options. It is safe and clean and has card access locks to lockers and storage area, very secure. Breakfast from 8-10am is an added amenity that I appreciate. I don't have to worry about finding a place to eat before I start my day wandering around the city.
Secure, easygoing stay. I felt safe, could come and go freely, and connect with others when I wanted. Everyone seemed chill and focused on their own trip, no drama.
It was my very first hostel experience. I shared a room with two other people. Bathrooms were very clean, though a strange, musty smell was present in all of them. They were obviously cleaned frequently. They were never out of supplies (shampoo, towels, and toilet paper). One thing I would change is that everyone is expected to wash their own dishes which is not the most conservative way to use water. I did not see any signs about water consumption, either, though there were many necessary signs. I saw one person wash one coffee cup with probably 4 galons of water.
I have never stayed at a hostel, but would readily suggest y’all for people who do. The bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, though some were closed so sometimes it was hard to find an open one. My room was right at a major intersection, and it seemed the window was really thin so I couldn’t sleep. That was my biggest complaint. The staff were helpful, cheerful and encouraging. For me, I was on vacation and needed a different experience. Nothing against the facility at all. Now I’ve experienced a hostel and found it’s not for me, though I do appreciate what y’all do.
This hostel is excellent. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean. Towels are provided. Your electric key card locks your large luggage locker. The breakfast is great fruit, bread, bagels, cakes and cereal. There also 24hrs tea & coffee available. Every where is walkable from here. The airport 202 bus stop is only one block away.Highlyrecommend.
comfortable bedding, spacious areas for working/cooking/dining in the hostel, walkable to all nearby attractions (French Quater, tours, convention center)
Very very expensive compared to 4 star hotels in the area. Good location by Bourbon street. Staff are efficient, but are hit-and-miss whether they are friendly or not.
The lobby is big and could be good for hanging out, but I wouldn't say it was social.
Hot water took forever to start in the shower. Private rooms are nice but very basic - definitely not worth the price since you don't get the bonus of the social aspect that I think you pay for.
Excellent location and everything was really great! I was a bit nervous about noise since I tend to be a light sleeper, but we were in one of the private rooms and it was super, I didn't need to even use ear plugs. The room ceilings are really high, modern, and the AC was perfect. I would definitely stay here again!

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
The lobby and rooms were clean and comfortable. Guests doing their own dishes often left the sinks full of food and there was some questionable cleanliness of dishes. Overall, it was a good accommodation and we would use it again.
