Watch out for destination fee

Bed was comfy, the hotel looks nice. The water in room 931 was barely warm the entire time so I never got a hot shower. I was charged $30 a day to receive $20 a day credit (which is silly) to some restaurant at the hotel. I told the front desk that this was the first I had heard about the “destination fee” and that it didn’t even make sense. They refused to refund me the $60 even though I never ate at Pete’s restaurant. So technically they just stole $60 from me.

The property was located in a convenient location. Very beautiful historic antique feel when you see the hotel. I would stay again .

I slept well but had been up more than 24 hours prior to arrival (not sure that's a point for them). The hotel was convenient to all I came to NOLA for, but parking was NOT free as insinuated in the details of the room before booking. The property was nice and clean and fairly fancy as shown in pictures. Staff at front desk had ZERO answers for the parking fees other than "Go ask the parking garage staff that is a totally separate company." Lesson learned on parking. Shower had NO water pressure, and the main head didn't work at all. So had to use the awkward hand-held for entire shower. Overall, it was an okay spot. Disappointing based on images posted, reviews and description. Don't expect 5 stars and you won't be let down.

Affordable but outdated

Average hotel but certainly needs to be updated compared to other intercontinental properties. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant but the room and amenities were very outdated.

The property is clean and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the quarter and close the the street car lines if you need to get across town. I will definitely stay at Intercontinental again!
