This is our go-to hotel in the French quarter. The rooms are always clean and the bed comfortable. This time our higher priced balcony suite was disappointing. The air conditioning blew so cold it was uncomfortable and the room felt much colder than where the thermostat was set. Also there was an outlet on only one side of the bed, which is very inconvenient for charging phones or being able to plug in two CPAPs. It seems they could easily run a conduit behind the bed and add add another outlet.

Great location in the quarter but far enough away from the main areas where it is quiet enough to enjoy peace! Close to the Frenchman side & lafittes for a purple drank!

We had such a fantastic one-night stay! The staff were super friendly and really helpful, especially after our long 10-hour drive. We were looking for a restful place to recharge, and this exceeded our expectations. It all started with a big New Orleans welcome at the front desk. We were a little early but were able to get to our room promptly. The lady at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. It was like you were her family. Location was perfect for enjoying all of the city. The rooms were in great condition. The air conditioning was amazing. If you are visiting in the summer you will understand. We will only stay there going forward.

Great parking for a fee. Felt very safe. Nice pool. Wished for a day bar. We had a balcony to enjoy with the great weather. In hotter days, i would not. Hitel is one block from two restaurants, one pricey, the wine barrel, and one, miderate, the Louisiana purchase pizza. We ate twice there. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Free wifi.

Our stay here was great. The beds were comfortable. It was walking distance to French Market, Cafe du Monde, Frenchmen St, Bourbon St and Jackson square. There was a streetcar stop about 2 blocks away. It was very convenient and staff was pleasant.
