Welcome to the Owl, where every effort has been made to make your stay a pleasure. Within minutes walk to the Rail Trail or Wallkill River boat launch. Ski Windham or Hunter, both just an hour away. This enviable spot is a countrylike setting yet 2 minutes by car puts you in the heart of the village of New Paltz where you will find numerous boutique shops and delightful eateries. Stay in and prepare a meal in your nicely equipped kitchen or cook on the grill and dine on the private patio.

You will have the private access to the apartment which is in a walk-in basement. The host with the family live upstairs.

We really enjoyed our stay, the description is well said, it truly is a sweet spot on the outskirts of town. Just minutes away, it felt quiet and cozy. The rooms were neat as a pin and cheery, the kitchen was well stocked, we had plenty of room to relax and the bed was very comfortable. Our hosts were very welcoming and easy to reach, but also gave us privacy, having our own entrance. The walking trail so close by was nice too. Definitely a 10 out of 10!! Thanks for having us.

The Owl was a perfect choice for our weekend wedding adventure in New Paltz. It was a surprisingly spacious studio that was well decorated and charming. We appreciated the small touches and kindness of the hosts. They were very attentive and thoughtful. It had fairly well stocked kitchen of spices, coffees, teas and some cooking equipment as well as a Brita filter. It was as advertised and more. Also fun to see the neighbor cow :)

We had a great 2 night stay here. The property was extremely clean, quiet and great location. Barely heard owners upstairs. An easy .5 mile walk to downtown, .2 miles on a quiet road and you link up to the rail trail. Easy 15-20 minute drive from Minnewaska State Park and under that for Mohonk Preserve. We didn't utalize the kitchen or grill, but appeared to have everything needed if you do. Bed was a little on the soft side but comfortable. We would stay absolutely again if in the area.

Fantastic property and gracious hospitality. The hosts were friendly and kind. The location is quiet and peaceful, tucked only a few minutes from the busy town. Immaculate and well appointed. Walkable to the beautiful trails. We would highly recommend this getaway spot.

Welcoming and Central

This is a great spot for parents visiting their kids at SUNY New Paltz. It's close to campus, downtown and biking/walking trails. Kitchen is well-stocked for those who like to cook and the space is very cozy.

Absolutely Perfect!

Our hosts provided amazing attention to detail and tended to our needs without affecting our privacy. The space was clean, comfortable, and cozy. One of the best qualities of this rental is its location - a short 1-2min walk to the rail trail and boat launch on the river. Once on the rail trail, it's only another 5min walk to the village!

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for three nights and two days while we explored the beautiful outdoors of New Paltz. We enjoyed the place so much that we canceled a future reservation that we had at a different location and booked this one again! This apartment has everything that you need. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood in a convenient location close to town.

Cozy Weekend

An absolutely wonderful stay! Beautiful and clean! Loved everything about this place. A welcome greeting from the owner to the little luxuries at this cosy, (but somehow spacious) apartment, made my stay! The grounds are beautiful. I loved looking out the French doors from the comfy couch or sitting at the little bistro table on the patio in the morning while enjoying my morning coffee. The kitchen was well stocked with Keurig, dishwasher, convection/toaster, microwave, electric oven and fridge, pots, pans, etc. The bathroom was beautiful and furnished with a claw foot tub with rainfall shower and the most delicious smelling shampoo, conditioner and soap. The towels were luxurious and they even had a makeup remover towel for the ladies (or men). The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. The ceiling fan was a nice addition for warm sleepers. The large closet was equipped with hangers, iron, ironing board, and some workout equipment for those into yoga or Pilates. Although I did not use them, a nice added feature was a washer and dryer. A huge screen TV occupied my binge watching. Plenty of different area pamphlets were available to get site seeing ideas. The short walk into town along the Trailway was so convenient. Nick and Olga were lovely hosts, not obtrusive but were available if needed. I will definitely keep the “Owl” on my list of places to stay when in New Paltz!

A wonderful space in a great location!

This is a beautiful, well-appointed apartment located a short a lovely walk from downtown. The place is clean and comfortable. Olga and Nicholas are the perfect hosts: completely unobtrusive, quickly responsive to any needs/requests, and very hospitable. A great vibe all around!

Cozy Apartment

This was our first time on a property with the host on site. The “Owl” is a completely private apartment and the host family is upstairs. The entrance and walkway, including the outside sitting area is all private. The apartment was very spacious with ample conveniences and a shower to die for! We love accessibility to a full kitchen and living quarters complete with laundry. Our hosts communicated with us very well when needed and were very courteous. Many great places within walking distance and so many attractions nearby that this is the perfect space. We will likely return again!
