We were greeted with an old musty smell as soon as we walked into the unit. It is very outdated however it was clean and tidy. There wasn’t sufficient heating for the size of the unit (a small panel heater in the living area and a small fan heater in one of the bedrooms) so as a result we were very cold. Thankfully we brought winter clothes and dressing gowns and housekeeping kindly provided another small fan heater on request. A heat pump would be amazing in a unit such as that. It was very easy to check in, park and the staff were lovely. Perhaps we will stay again in the summer months haha!

Expensive for what it was, but it was Matatini so lucky to get a room at late notice. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Location was the only reason for the noise being on the corner of a busy intersection of SH3 and the city centre.

The staff are trying hard- a coffee plunger was a welcome addition! Convenient location, though with that comes the downside: the noise- right on the main road with trucks passing by at all hours meant sleep was elusive.

Great spot for a short stop in New Plymouth. Loved the four bed option, the kitchen and proximity to groceries. Air conditioning would be nice as rooms got a bit warm.
