Cozy Seaside Cottage

The Cottage at Whitecap is part of an Historic Compound built in 1883 and is located in the heart of New Suffolk. The Cottage offers 4 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms and sleeps 8 comfortably. The cottage shares the same property as the Main House but landscaping provides privacy for both homes. The house is steps from the beach and conveniently located by restaurants, wineries and a public boat ramp. It's the perfect location for your next vacation, small get together or winery weekend getaway.

Lovely cottage with comfortable beds, great living room seating, and an amazingly stocked kitchen. They had everything you may need unlike many rentals. We would definitely rent again next time we’re on the North Fork.

Lovely Holiday Stay in New Suffolk

We had a wonderful holiday visit at the cozy seaside cottage. Allison and Tracy were great hosts. The house has everything you need and is in a great, quiet neighborhood in the North Fork with a short walk to the beach. We’re excited to try it in warmer weather too.

Great spot for wine tour weekend

Really enjoyed our short weekend at this cottage. Owners were very helpful in providing recommendations for wineries in the area. Home was clean and tidy. Be aware if you're tall as the second floor ceilings are rather short, and the light fixture in the primary bedroom is easy to bang your head on in the bed.

Family time

We had a great stay with our son and his family. What could be better than a walk to the beach and searching for shells with our grandsons. Fall has always been our favorite time to be on the east end of Long Island. Great weather and no crowds. The outdoor space was ideal.

Wonderful house

We had a great time at the cottage. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and very close to the beach, and short drive to berry picking, vineyards etc. The house itself suited our needs very well. Lots of attention to details, amenities, and we especially enjoyed the large garden. We would definitely love to come back one day!

Girls weekend

We had an absolutely perfect weekend. We all had our own bedroom and made good use of the outdoor shower. The local farm stands provided a bounty of fruits/vege’s to pair with a great rose and long lunch in the cozy yard. The house was perfect, walking distance to beach and restaurants. The hosts were so nice and accommodating. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Spring 2024 NoFo Getaway

Cozy Seaside Cottage was a slice of heaven in the bayside village of New Suffolk! Tracy warmly welcomed our group of five women two hours ahead of checkin time, and toured us around answering any and all questions...as we were all unable to access the smart phone lock system, she promptly supplied us with manual keys, which suited us just fine! The historic cottage is beautifully decorated, maintained, and immaculately clean. Walking to beach frontage was 5 minutes at most...sunrises were spectacular! Quaint and quiet neighborhood was full of nature; flowers, trees, wildlife...very peaceful. Fun exploring all it's 'nooks and crannies'...Legend's Restaurant on the waterfront had great food and warm atmosphere, short walk, once again.We also visited wineries, distillery, Hallock State Park Preserve(on the Sound side), restaurants and shops, all within easy driving distance. The cottage and outside patio/yard was a wonderfully relaxing 'hang out', and the weather was sunny and dry, 50-60 ish degrees, making for a perfect week together! Thank you both for lending us your Cozy Seaside Cottage from April 22-26, 2024...we all "love, loved, loved " it, and hope to return here, Tracy and Allison!

Amazing Cottage, location & Owner!

Such an amazing and flawless experience! The whole process of checking in and instructions, plus the homeowner gave us recommendations for places to eat and fav wineries! The cottage was so cute, so so clean, so spacious. It was the perfect cottage for our girls weekend!! The location was beautiful! We walked to the beach in the morning and it was gorg!! It has a private lawn & outdoor space, that we were able to hang out in. We really felt at home the entire weekend!! I would highly recommend & in def going back! Maybe with my family next time

Wedding Weekend

The cottage was absolutely perfect! The hosts Allison and Tracy could not be more accommodating. The house is beautifully decorated, cozy and warm! We just loved it! The location is perfect.. near the beach and wineries! We were there for a family wedding and the house was just minutes from the church and wedding venue .. We will definitely be back!

Perfect getaway!

What a great place to stay. Everything you could want was right at your fingertips (or for the asking). The house was beautiful, clean, perfectly located. Our hosts were very accessible and were very helpful through emails, as well as when we arrived. The grounds were great for family gatherings or just a few moments alone, enjoying the fresh air. The beach was just a few minute walk, as well as many attractions near by. My family really enjoyed the lounge area that opened to the night air. The (adult) boys especially loved the outdoor shower! Thank you for making this family wedding weekend more memorable than it already was. It was so nice to spend the weekend with my children and their children 😊. Highly recommend this place!

Charming jewel box filled with warmth

From the minute we walked in the door of this charming cottage and read the tribute to Allie and Tracy’s mother we were so touched by all the love they poured into this home. Then Allie walked in the door to greet us and make sure we were comfortable and her warmth and all her special touches made our stay one of the best experiences we’ve ever had with VRBO. The cottage is bright and airy and has everything you need, from outdoor seating with a fire pit, bikes, close proximity to the beach with beach chairs and beach bags, guides to great restaurants and wineries and a fully stocked kitchen with snack and candy jars! We would love to come back again soon!

Amazing stay at the Whitecap cottage!

We had a family wedding in the vineyards at Mattituck on Labor Day weekend. The Whitecap cottage and main house was the perfect place for our extended family reunion! 6 sisters with various significant others, dozens of cousins and 2 grand children to round it off. We slept 8 in the cottage and it was more than comfortable. Everything we needed was provided minus the groceries. The property was beautifully landscaped, well maintained and super clean. The weather was perfect! The butterflies made it a magical experience for us 🩋 Just an all around wonderful week. Thanks so much to Allison, Tracy and Will for their hospitality and for opening their beautiful home to us. We hope to be back again soon!

Beautiful property!

Back for our 2nd stay. We are visiting from NYC so the huge lawn is such a treat! Also a quick walk to the public beach with a lifeguard. Farm stands, wineries, grocery store all a 5 min drive. The house is beautifully decorated, well appointed and the hosts are great! Hoping to return again next summer :)
