8th March stay

Hotel could be really lovely if it had a slight revamp. Our bedroom smelled of damp, but we think that may just of been down the old building and old windows which had mould on the inside. The bathroom was great but not much room to manoeuvre in the bath to have a shower. The shower screen itself was not very long and therefore water went everywhere on the floor. Breakfast was slightly disappointing as the fried eggs were overcooked/hard and there were no mushrooms left as they’d run out. Hubby went to get another slice of bacon and was told he’d have to wait for a further 20mins. But overall it was fine. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful.

Great big and comfortable.

Arrived late at night, 22.15. Receptionist was most pleasant and greeted us with a welcoming smile and a very efficient and easy check in. Great big room, warm, comfortable and a great bathroom.

Depends on who is staffing reception as to the level of warmth and friendliness in interactions. Had an executive room first night and standard double the second. Much preferred the standard double 💁‍♀️ good find of a hotel for ease of access to shops and restaurants and overall good value for money. The hotel is clean, comfortable, with quality bedding and towelling etc. and comfortable beds. Has quaint elements to the hotel and could imagine it being a high end boutique hotel but as stands, it sits within its niche and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Just would be nice if some of the team members smile just a little 😏
