The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room we had was very quiet.
I don't thing the room servicing was fully completed from the previous tenant as there was a teatowl laid on the bench with a coffee mug and spoon and kettle on it on the bench when we arrived that I would guess had been washed up and left to dry but they forgot to put it away. Minor issue. Everything else about our stay was perfect.

Everything was excellent. The only fault was the shower was in a bath and quite small even though the bathroom was quite large. Personally, I would prefer not to have a bath in a room and have a decent shower I didn't have to clamber in to.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Rydges hotel. Clean reasonable price a beautiful location with amazing views of the harbour.
The palm trees across the harbour all lit up if a night was beautiful. Friendly staff. Will be back.

Good over all, just a few notes

I was disappointed with the misleading information about gym and pool- the gym is off site and is only available to guests between the hours of 7-4, the pool closes early as well at 6pm. These were two selling points for me to book at this location so that was disappointing.
My other critique would be that there is only valet parking. Guests who did not wish to pay for valet could street park which is free overnight, but then metered after 9am. With an 11 o’clock check out, this left you paying for parking (if you could locate street parking) in either case.

Lovely place to stay central to all places in Newcastle.
Unfortunately starting to be very dated. Service good when things working but all else ignored.
