Where do I start, The window had a gap so there was constant breeze coming in, Bare in mind it’s the middle of winter. Then went to turn the radiator on and that didn’t work so it was Baltic in the room 24/7. Then on my second day there was no cold water for around 3 hours so I couldn’t flush the toilet, have a shower you know all the basic things you get when you pay a few hundred quid! Also no plug sockets next to the bed which isn’t a big problem but you would have thought there would be more than 2 that aren’t at the other side of the world. There was also loads of like grime on the bath plug looked like algae or something so didn’t bother having a bath just stuck to showers to be safe. Overall by far the poorest hotel I’ve stayed at and I’ve stayed in some dumps Curry house next door was nice tho

The location is great and it’s very close to the local Metro station so you can get around the area easily. That said, this is a budget hotel so I was managing my expectations. The room was clean and tidy but it would be nice if they could clean the mould off the grout in the bathroom. I also got the impression that the hotel was a side hustle and that the Indian restaurant on the ground floor was their main priority - because what else can explain the fact that the corridors and stairways smelled strongly of curry? I booked this hotel because it was meant to be a quiet one (a fact implied by their refusal to accommodate hen and stag parties) but unfortunately there was a party in the bar on the Saturday evening and music was exceptionally loud and could be heard throughout the hotel, even in my room. When I spoke to reception staff (at the time and also the following morning) they said they knew nothing about the party and there was no manager available to talk to. I probably won’t be booking with them again.

A decent hotel, but as others have noted the lack of parking is an issue - we parked a 10 minute walk away. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. Would thoroughly recommend the Indian restaurant within the same building.

It was an eye opener, when we got there. The room did not look like the room we had booked. They did not have the heat on and were providing everyone with heaters untill I spoke with the staff member in the evening and he did turn it on. I had some other families who were going to check in a few days later, we suggested they cancel and stay somewhere else.

Had a 2 night stay here when dropping my daughter back at University. Convenient for Jesmond & Newcastle City Centre shops and cafes/restaurants. Hotel is a bit tired looking but was fine for the time I was there. Bonuses are free parking and Chakh Dhoom Indian restaurant next door if you don't want to go far!
