Seems like the owners are trying to fix up this older hotel and make it nice as it is in what looks to be an up and coming area of Newport. The room was clean and freshly painted but it felt unfinished & it smelledThere were exposed mollys in the bathroom wall that had been pained over that appeared to be where the towel rack had been? There was no towel rack in the bathroom at all. There was a hanger pressed over the back of the bathroom door that didn’t match the others in the “closet” and it was very dusty like it had been there for some time, not sure of it’s purpose, maybe to hang a towel on? The bathtub had no plug in it and while it appeared clean there was some kind of adhesive or epoxy that had been dripped in it so it looked yucky. The linens were all clean but the bath towels were so small no adult could ever put them around their body, more of a glorified hand towel. It was nice that there was an elevator to get out to the 2nd and 3rd floors, that is not always something that is seen in this area. They did allow dogs, and had a dog area, it would be nice if it was fenced in some way as the road next to it can be a little busy and one of my dogs doesn’t potty well on leash. Staff was friendly. We didn’t have a chance to visit the pool area, but there always seemed to be families and kids in there so it must be ok:) it’s a great location and the price point with having the ability to have our dogs with us makes it a decent place to visit, especially once remodeled

Room was clean, pool was clean and the employee was seen testing the water while we were there, and the free breakfast is great. The hotel is aged but the location and bang for your buck can't be beat on the coast.

Room was clean with fresh linen. The shower in closure was rough and could use different shower curtain rods to get the curtain out of the shower. Bed frame felt like it dipped in the middle but not bad. It’s great location and cheap price make it a decent stay. Gorgeous view from 3rd floor.

There no access to beach unless I walked downhill for couple of blocks and it does state on the description coming back uphill was definitely tiring, went to the pool which it had a nasty grease like dirt throughout and around the tile. No towels were available only many dirty on the floor. Thats was bad because you have to walk a distance to get in to the pool or hottub, I could never turn on the tv it had a broken remote control, breakfast was very low quality no protein like eggs, no fresh fruit, no creamer for coffee no splenda only regular sugar. To be honest I expected a little more effort for the place to be nice and neat but it wasn’t. I had asked for extra time for checkout ended up leaving by 9 am to go eat elsewhere. View was beautiful but doesn’t compensate for the lack of other amenities it should have. Oh yeah shampoo and soap containers were nearly empty. Thats not ok.

The front desk agent was wonderful. The room had a great view and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The only suggestion I would have is for a lock on the door (not just the key-card lock).

staff were friendly, room had a nice view and the bed was comfy. I will say i dont think they cleaned the room very well before we entered, there was dirt and dog hair when we arrived (didnt bother us but i know some would hate that) also they advertise breakfast included and thats a stretch i think. theyve got two waffle makers and a couple types of yogurt. Over all a pleasant stay!

Got there early and they were able to get us into a fantastic room with a ocean view. Room was very clean, and well stocked with amenities. Would stay there again, great price for a very nice room.

The room was clean and the staff were polite. The breakfast selection was nice and we appreciated having the in-room coffee pot. We were disappointed that we were expecting an ocean view based on the description online but we were given a ground floor room that had a view of a parking lot and a house, and the drapes would blow open so it did not feel very private.
