Stayed here for a few hours of sleep on a brief overnight stop in Nuuk. Very easy to access the property and room. Very clean. Two bathrooms sufficiently equipped, as well as kitchen and common area. Could've used an extra pillow or two, but otherwise no complaints. Note steep climb and stairs to get to the house.

Pleasant enough and reasonably well located, with walking distance from Nuuk's center of activity as 5 to 15 minutes, Nuuk's historic old town as about 10 to 15 minutes, and the port at around 25 minutes walking. Rooms are small but have the essentials. The blackout shades during the summer midnight-sun months are only partially effective as they allow light in at the edges. The place is mostly quiet as long as the guests are courteous, as they usually are. Note that the place may not have hot water for showering during daytime hours after check-out time at 10 am and before check-in time at 4 pm. Note also for anyone with walking challenges that there is a bit of a short, steep rock incline and over a dozen stairs just to enter the place.

I find Nuuk is expensive. But this hostel is nice to stay. It has 7 units with 2 bathrooms. A fully furnished kitchen. The management is very helpful in responding to questions. The building is set back from the street so beware of steep walks and stairs even inside. In the winter with snow, this could be treacherous. I like the kitchen that allows me to cook as well.

The Greenland Excursions bus from the airport didn't know the property location and dropped me off at another nearby hotel and I walked from there. Luckily, I had GPS available on my phone. Of the two days I stayed at Kulukis, there was only hot water in the bathrooms on one of them, so no shower before check out. The TV worked, but had only one channel in Chinese. Didn't need the TV much, but no one replied to my emails to fix it the situation either. Definitely could have used the shower though! Oh well... The 10:00Am check out is too early in my opinion and not standard for most places. Overall, it was too expensive for what was offered and I wish I had stayed in one of the local hotels. Yes, they are more expense, but ultimately a better value given the experience at Kulukis. If you have an issue while staying there, no one is on site to help assist. You may get a reply to a message, you may not.

Location is great . That’s why I chose it . The tar “lump “ to the stairs is terrible . It was snowing it was seriously slippery . Checking in is difficult . No where does it say on hotels.com that check in isn’t until 1600 . The door access isn’t sheltered so you get rained on while struggling to get in . The pin code to the door isn’t sent until 11am the day of check in . If no wifi access no code . No instructions on how to use the finicky PIN code access lock .- all night people struggling to get in .
