Spend your day soaking up the sun on the beach or by the private pool, then end your day by enjoying the view from one of 2 covered decks. Smart TV's in all bedrooms and Large-screen Smart TV with BluRay/DVD in Greatroom, Wireless internet, ext. cable, fully equipped kitchen, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, gas stove, Backyard pool with privacy fencing, patio deck, gas barbecue grill, patio table and chairs, Beach cart, room to park a boat and much more. Great place with a great view for a second row house. Plenty of room and the house was very nice and updated. It had some bugs (dead mostly) but overall a good house. The pool was cold for this time of year because it doesn’t have a lot of sunlight but was a very nice outdoor area. Easy walk to the beach. The rental agency was fantastic and super nice. I would definitely rent it again.

Loved the home. Location was great. A lot of stairs but very nice. My only complaint was that when we arrived after 4 and a half hrs. that not one roll of toilet tissue in any of three bathrooms. With the price we paid I think at least one roll in each bathroom should be a courtesy.

Could be amazing

We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival that the house was definitely more beautiful in person than in the photographs. We were slightly disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. Lots of dead bugs, sand, debris, and dust on the ceiling fans and throughout the property and the dirtiness of the windows definitely took away from the beautiful view. We didn't have enough linens to cover all of the pillows in the property. We were also a little disappointed in the landscaping with weeds everywhere and previous renters dog poop left behind. However, none of these complaints offset the wonderful time we had there. This is truly a beautiful property and, with a couple of changes, could be amazing.

Fantastic views and location

This is a fantastic place and you cannot beat the location. While not "on the ocean" currently there is no home in front so there is a clear view of the ocean that was priceless. The public beach access was two homes away. The place was very comfortable and my only complaint is that these Northern snow birds did not get to enjoy the pool as the heater "is not available for renters." That could be remedied with a solar cover or a different method to heat the pool (there are other solar options); options that would not cost much and would improve the guests' experience tremendously. We will be back to rent again.

One fish two fish

Very nice place! Great stay only problem was smoke detectors going off late one night! Had to call fire department they showed up made sure place was safe!! Maintenance guy showed up later removed smoke detectors and came next afternoon to replace! A very long night! Other than that a great stay.

Beautiful view

This was our first trip to Oak Island and 1 Fish 2 Fish. We had gone to OIB for many years previously. W. Beach Drive was busier than we expected. It could have been because of build up to Labor Day. We where very happy with the house and the view. Our 4 kids actually loved the cold pool after being at the beach! The shade at the pool was helpful to minimize sun exposure for our littlest who was out there for hours at a time! We enjoyed the ocean views during the day and the sea breezes at night. The map photo is old and there is now a very large house on the west side of property and immediately behind the pool area. We were looking forward to having that area for walking our dog. It was a little disappointing since all other areas surrounding the house were all rocks, no grassy areas. We appreciated the pet waste station, very smart. Thank you for a wonderful vacation experience.

Oak Island at it’s Beat

This house was awesome! The description was on mark. The house was clean, and the location was perfect for beach access. This would not be the house for persons unable to navigate stairs. It has a lot of them. The pool is not heated and doesn’t get a lot of sun. We were able to use it during the day, but it is cool in the evenings. It was nice to be able to grill a couple of nights and have dinner out back. There are no start up paper products, so it was good we had them upon arrival. The view of the ocean from the front porch was really nice. This was our first visit to Oak Island, but wont’t be our last.
