Beautifully remodeled house located just a few short steps away from beach access. You can hear the Ocean from this house. Gorgeous ocean views from the front deck. Spacious back yard. House has HDTV, WiFi Internet, Washer and Dryer and full kitchen.

Ocean crest pier is a short walk away. Fine dining at the Island Way restaurant is also a short walk away.

Oak Island is a beach town in North Carolina. It’s separated from the mainland by the Intracoastal Waterway. The Atlantic coast is lined with beaches, and fishermen gather at the long Ocean Crest Pier. The Oak Island Nature Center has trails, plus displays on fossils and native animals. To the east, Oak Island Lighthouse has sweeping views over Caswell Beach and Bald Head Island.

The Town also has a municipal golf course and eight parks, ranging from a fishing T at the west end of the island to a large park on the mainland complete with baseball and football fields. There is a skate park, a dog park, a cabana on the oceanfront with an observation deck and plenty of places to find a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the view. Area businesses, like piers and marinas, restaurants and ice cream shops, also help make vacationers feel welcome while catering to full-time residents. Place was great, but communication with owners was a bit rough. Did not send instructions at required 24 hr mark and then was unreachable up until a few hours before check in. Never responded to any messages, had to be called by VRBO. Which was unfortunate cause i really liked the location

Nice place for family vacation

Dreamy Beach Getaway!We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable beach bungalow! Waking up to the sound of the waves and having coffee just steps from the sand was pure magic. The decor was charming and beachy without feeling overdone, and the little touches (like beach chairs and games) made it feel like home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful beach escape!

A little slice of Heaven

This is the cutest beach house we’ve stayed in by far. It’s very spacious and comfortable. The location is unbeatable, directly across from beach access. The host was also incredibly responsive and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. We can't wait to come back!

The description of property lists a dishwasher. There is no dishwasher. This is the reason communicaton get only two stars. Local staff responed promptly when called. $125.00 cash payment for pup, not specified in contract, would have perfered to pay up front. Cooking seafood and the beach kinda goes together. . The property was clean and the beds were comfortable. Loved the shower.

Great location, great value

Overall, we were happy with our stay and would recommend this place to others. We were a bit disappointed that some of the cooking pans needed to be washed, a few things needed to be repaired, and, unlike in other locations we've stayed, there were no staples like shampoo or body soap. But, overall, those things were small inconveniences that we navigated and the home was a great place to spend a weekend at the beach with friends. The location was wonderful. Also, the host was responsive and offered an acceptable solution when the check-in time needed to be altered.

Get away

Decent place, excellent location. Pre check in communication wasn’t very good. Had to message host twice, once en route day of, only a few hours before check in to get access information. Unit was fairly clean, but could use some detailed cleaning behind furniture. And some fresh paint. Outlets are sparse so bring power strips. Less than 10 minutes of hot water between showers. Minor complaints, but otherwise good stay. Great beach access. Super quiet this time of year. With a little attention this could be a great property.

We enjoyed our stay at Donovan's Reef and can't wait to return! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the boats on the ocean and listening to the waves! Public access to the beach was right at the home which was wonderful! We loved being able to bring our pup with us! Looking forward to another trip!

Great Location

Great location across from beach access. It was nice, clean, and quiet. It had everything we needed for a week vacation. Pier was a short walk down the beach drive. The only things i would add are wall tvs in bedrooms, ice maker in refrigerator, closets or armoire in the bedrooms, and towel hangers in bathrooms.

Sandy toes in just a few steps!

This cozy cottage is perfectly located just steps from the beach and pier. The ocean view is like beach front without the hefty price tag. Holly is an excellent host, prompt to respond with any questions. The home was very clean and the kitchen was well supplied. We enjoyed our stayed and hope to return soon!

Great Beach House Experience!

The house is exactly what you see in the advertisement it is clean and close to all things related to the beach and surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our stay. The access to the beach was great, especially for me. I am late 70's and sometimes walking far is hard since my knees arent what they used to be. Close to driving around Oak Island. Will definitely look for this house again and rent it. Thanks again.
