The Oaxaca Quinta Real is a grand old dame of a hotel, fundamentally unchanged since the last time I was there more than 20 years ago, and that is the point. When a hotel is in a 16th century convent, you want excellent maintenance, not modernization, and the maintenance is excellent. The service is excellent and the hotel is worth spending some time in just hanging out and drinking up the setting, Oaxaca aside.

Wonderful hotel with excellent service. The staff were so friendly and helpful with the best recommendations for food and activities. It was the best location with the best sites within walking distance.

Staying at the QR is truly unique. Originally a cloister built in the 16th century. It is a beautiful structure. It is quite pricey but it it right in the centre of everything. Two blocks south of Cathedral Santo Domingo and three blocks from the Zocalo. It was nice for a short stay.

Was an amazing stay. The grounds are beautiful. The hotel is unique and luxurious. Cannot wait to go back !
