Wonderful location and very comfortable stay

We had a wonderful stay in Oban at this property. Beautifully furnished and absolutely amazing views. It could be a little noisy outside of an evening but it always settled down. We were in walking distance of everything. And the restaurant downstairs was fabulous.

Central location

Well situated in the middle of Oban. We hit a bit of a heat wave in the area and it was difficult to get the apartment to cool at night but it sounds like this was an atypical weather aberration. Two notes for others - this unit is on the 2nd floor and we did not see a lift so you’ll want to pack accordingly or plan to get a good workout bringing your luggage up. And the king bed noted is likely a UK king, not a US king, if that matters to you. We enjoyed our time and would gladly stay here again.

Cute apartment in a great location

We enjoyed our stay in Oban. The apartment is located right in the center of town. Very close to the train, bus, and ferry stations. The apt was spacious, the bed comfortable, and overlooks the harbor. Minor street noise. The host provided lots of information about Oban and activities. The apartment and bathroom was clean. The shower water controls are touchy. But, there is hot water.

Very spacious apartment

A most welcome surprise after a disastrous hire of cottage in Tenby earlier in the year. Imperial Apartment is very spacious, clean, very well appointed with a lovely view over the bay. Most convenient for the excellent restaurants ie Coast (five stars!) EE-Usk and Waterfront Fishouse with Cuan Mor just downstairs. Excellent for breakfast.

Big apartment in a great location

The apartment is in a wonderful location. Walking distance from train station and close to everything. It’s a large place, very well stocked, and overall fairly comfortable. The shower has an on demand water heater which if you’re not careful with the setting can get extremely hot. The pressure is also not the best. The living room furniture is not super comfortable but decent. The apartment checkin instructions state there’s a sign on the actual apartment door which is not there. The biggest downsides are the street noise and the fact that there’s not a fan. You can’t sleep with the windows open because it would be way too loud from the street. Being able to walk to the ferries to explore the islands is a very big plus. Overall a wonderful stay in a great city!

Fantastic Stay at the Imperial Apartment

This is an outstanding apartment in a first class location. The Imperial Apartment is everything as advertised in the VRBO summary. It is extremely convenient to downtown shopping and dining and the harbor views from the suite, both sitting room and bedroom are extraordinary. Communications with the ownership team (Gemma and Sandie) were flawless. They were both very responsive, and considerate in ensuring it was a great experience (it was). I sincerely hope to be back to Oban with a return visit to the Imperial Apartment.

Great Location, Wonderful View of Oban

The apartment is located in the heart of Oban and has a wonderful view of the harbor. It is well laid out with all of the amenities of a few days’ stay. While we were there we had great weather and went on one of the local boat excursions. The tour of the distillery, which is only a block away, was wonderful as were the local restaurants we ate at. Thank you for the wonderful memories of Oban!

Location,location,location

This property is perfectly situated to explore Oban and surrounds. Located on the second floor, there is easy stair access and it is quiet. The views of Oban harbour from both the lounge and bedroom are fantastic. Parking in the Tweedale car park is close by (in May we had no problem with getting a spot but suspect parking will be at a premium in summer months-also recommend getting the weekly parking permit). The welcome tea/coffee/biscuits was appreciated. The property is well equipped. Only disappointing aspect is the type of hot water system for the shower - water pressure. We enjoyed our stay in the unit and recommend it as a place for the Oban area. Tips: if you want to take your car on any ferry, book well in advance; explore Easdale and Seil islands if want to avoid crowds; the Coast restaurant is fantastic but will need to book.

Talk about the perfect location! The only downside may have been that the view was so beautiful we almost hated to go out. Parking was a little inconvenient, but not a significant downside. We highly recommend it.

Traumhafter Ausblick

Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr schön und qualitativ hochwertig ausgestattet. Man hat sowohl vom Wohn-/Esszimmer als auch vom Schlafzimmer/Bett einen tollen Blick auf den Hafen von Oban. Unsere Bedenken hinsichtlich störender Geräusche aus dem im EG befindlichen Restaurant haben sich nicht bestätigt. Allerdings „liefert“ die Hauptstrasse von früh morgens bis spät abends gravierenden Verkehrslärm … das hatten wir so nicht erwartet. Das Treppenhaus in die Wohnung im 2. OG ist steil und sehr eng. Zumindest mit Gepäck oder ggfs. für Personen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität ein Problem. Alles in allem aber eine TOP Wohnung.
