The unit was nice however there were a few things not to our liking. The blinds in the master bedroom had about a third of the blind missing which left absolutely no privacy. The keurig style coffee maker wouldn't latch, therefore unusable,
The condo was generally okay, and cleanliness was acceptable, but the unit is in need of updates throughout. There was no private room WiFi access, the connection was open to anyone within the building, which caused any streaming/internet usage to be very slow if at all operable. While it is listed as having an âOcean View,â the view is largely obstructed by the roof two floors below, with only a partial glimpse of the ocean on the horizon. The blinds were rickety and missing which added to the dated feel of the unit. This is in addition to sun glaring in the master bedroom the moment it rises. Overall, it was an adequate stay, but the condo would benefit greatly from bathroom renovations and living area improvements.
We have stayed at the Carousel for a few years. Typically we book directly through the Carousel. However this year we were looking for a shorter stay and this was perfect. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The view is cut off due to the building below but you can still see the ocean. The condo was standard from our previous experiences. It was clean and had everything we needed. We would stay again.
This unit was misrepresented as "oceanfront". The extended part of the lower floors in fact obscures most of the view. The price of the unit is above its value given the view is very limited.
As a kid, I had always dreamt of staying at the Carousel, as I thought that's where all the rich people stayed. LOL! I am now in my late 50s and finally made it there! I was able to cross ice skating at the Carousel off my bucket list, too! That said, despite the efforts at remodeling, the Carousel seems a bit dated and worn down. I suppose with so many guests coming through year after year, that is inevitable. The indoor pool area, in particular, is in need of a facelift. Guests should also be aware that the outdoor pool is not heated; thus, it was completely empty because it was too frigid for any of the hotel and condo guests to use it. As for the actual condo, itself, we were pleased that it offered the necessities and was sufficient for a short girls' trip; however, if I was paying top dollar to rent this place during the high season, I would be a bit put out. First, while the building is ocean front, the balcony of this unit does not have an ocean view. Instead, you stare at the gigantic roof of the skating rink/food court area and not the ocean. Second, (and I understand that we stayed here at the end of the summer season), the place was not at all clean. Our feet were black on the bottom from going barefoot on the newer looking tile floor; there was nasty dirt and dust all over things like the baseboards; there were gross splatters of God knows what on the bathroom walls, cabinets, and floors; there were lots of broken things like a repaired hole in the bathtub, brok
The pictures are deceiving, it looks like you are right on the beach in see it from your balcony, but all you can see is the water because there is actually a roof in between you and the ocean and you can't hear the waves either because of the noise from the building/roof so that was disappointing.
The rest of the place was OK. The kitchen and living room area were nice and redone but the bedrooms and bathrooms. Definitely need to be updated for the price you pay to stay.
