It was an ok house that seems a bit neglected but you can walk to the beach. Lots of dog hair on the couch covers, somebody’s bathing suit left under one of the living room chairs. Missing and broken screens. Hair left by the cleaning people on guest towels in the bath. The usual weird assortment of kitchen implements, no foil. Broken clean wine glass in the cabinet (?) someone put that in there like that!The view of the dunes is nice though. All the living is upstairs so you must haul everything you bring up.

Perfect weekend getaway

This property was exactly as described. Maybe even a little better. Location is nearly perfect, right off the dunes. The indoor pool was HUGE and super warm. Kids were in all weekend and had so much fun. We loved this place and would definitely stay again. Only downside is you have to go to the agency to pick up and drop off keys. It’s not too far away but a lockbox would be SO much easier.

Perfect weekend getaway!

Enjoyed our stay at this place. It is beach adjacent (not beachfront); barely a minute walk to beach. Walking distance to Oceano Dunes SVRA. There are not many restaurants nearby but fully equipped kitchen makes up for it. Just bring your own groceries, and this could be home away from home :-)

Excellent Property, super location, mattresses could be more comfortable

We rented this property for 3 nights for 2 families. We were 6 adults and 2 kids and this place was very spacious with good size bedrooms and a large living room with the dining area and kitchen open to the living room. This ensured that we were all together and enjoyed our family time. Pros: * Location - 5 min walk to the beach and a very quiet community. Also pretty close to the town areas * Size and floor plan - living room-kitchen plan, bedrooms * Swimming pool indoors * Clean property * Spacious garage * Good number of towels * Washer / dryer and dishwasher with soaps/pods available. Cons * Beds - the main beds have old school spring mattress. With the quality and the cost, we expected better and more comfortable mattresses. * (Minor) Many utensils were not clean (dry food on the side of the plates, greasy pans). Not such a big deal, but during COVID times, I wish the staff went through all the utensils and made sure they were clean.

Great place, we'll be back again

My husband and I absolutely loved this place. The house was impeccably clean. There were enough towels to last us three days we stayed there. The kitchen could use a few extra pots and pans, but it was not a big deal by any means. We loved that there was a washer/dryer which made drying pool towels and bathing suits super easy. And needless to say, the pool was amazing! We will definitely rent this place again.

Great house for our family getaway

This house was awesome with everything you could ask for. Clean, spacious, comfortable, and best of all 1 block from the beach. Came with my family for a quick getaway and we all loved the house. The pool was such an awesome touch given that during our stay it was Smokey due to fires in the area. We’d love to come back!

Great getaway spot with easy access to amazing beach

Our family (two adults, two teen kids) came here with another family (also two adults and two teen kids) that we felt comfortable quarantining with. There was plenty of space for everyone during the day with a large-ish family room and of course the indoor pool area which the kids took advantage of. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. The Oceano Beach is a 3-minute walk away and what an incredible beach! Really soft sand, spacious with tons of room to roam around, explore, play football, go running/walking, etc. Truly a treasure that we hadn't expected. On the negative side, the house could really use some additional amenities that would make the stay nicer and more comfortable, particularly given the price point. The kitchen needs a kettle for hot water, sheet pans, additional colanders, and additional spatulas. It would also be helpful to have a few more bath towels, face/hand towels, beach towels (yes, you'll need to bring your own) and extra blankets or sheet sets. Also, the toilet in the master bedroom wasn't flushing properly throughout our stay. Super annoying. And FYI (this didn't factor into our review of the property, but just wanted to share) if you're coming here during the coronavirus pandemic, we found that Pismo downtown area was crowded, and that people were not physical distancing or wearing masks. Downtown Avila Beach was better but still crowded.
