Prior to checking in I was called by hotel staff stating that my card needed to be charged in full for my stay , I responded that my reservation is not to be charged for my stay until I check in, the personnel than said if my card isn’t charged in full prior to check in than my room is in jeopardy of being taken , it was extremely odd , I’ve been to Grand 5 star hotels and I have never been approached with my reservation being charged in full PRIOR to checking in , could be something shady going on however I did not allow the personnel to charge my card prior to check in and she seemed a bit bothered about it , more so , the room was clean and roomy , old but you could tell it was recently updated , it was a odor in the hotel, but not too overwhelming, there was no lobby area to sit and hang out , the indoor pool was good, the hot tub was out of order, breakfast was very early 6:30AM to 9:30AM so I didn’t make it to breakfast however it was a small set up, the personnel was a bit unapproachable, the housekeeping literally walked into my room while checking out and told me “check out is at 11AM and I need to check out “ I was still getting dressed which was approx.11:15AM, extremely awkward, the location is great many bars and restaurants nearby plus access to i40 interstate, overall it was “ok” but a bit unwelcoming .
