The space
Welcome to Casa de Patito, your traditional town house tucked away in the streets of Olvera. This elegantly designed home features a blend of modern meets classic within a historic pueblo blanco that dates back to the 12th century. Our interior designer was inspired by the terracotta roofscapes mixed with the colours of an Andalusian wall garden. The stunning views from the terrace and panoramic rooftop access won't disappoint. Perfectly located, just 10 minutes walk from the historic centre whilst being close to the bottom of the hill allowing a flat 15 minute walk to the commercial centre (plus parking which is rare in Olvera) makes this the perfect stop for an unforgettable stay.
â¶OPEN PLAN LIVING AREA â¶
As you walk in you will be welcomed into the open plan living and dining area. To your left you will find an incredibly comfortable sofa and TV area that can turn be swiftly converted into a bed for larger groups. To your right is the dining area for hosting delicious family meals either cooked at home or takeaway (we recommend Casa Carmina on Sundays). This area is decorated with an inspired canvas from a local artist and offers a smart speaker with Spotify to play your favourite music. The air conditioning and heat pumps along with the curtains provide both comfort and privacy in cold and hot weather.
â¶KITCHEN, LAUNDRY & BIKE STORAGE â¶
When hunger strikes, the kitchen is tucked away within a tidy nook just beyond the dining area. It is fully equipped with everything you need to fuel you during your getaway. We provide local olive oil and coffee. Beyond the kitchen you have a downstairs bathroom, laundry area and bike storage - with bikes for rent.
â¶STUDY & BEDROOMSâ¶
Upstairs you have the two bedrooms and the study with super high ceilings and beams. The first bedroom located at the top of the stairs support floral art from another local artist and super comfy double bed. The study hosts a dedicated work space including second monitor for the digital nomad. The master bedroom offers a lovely queen size bed with ensuite spa-inspired bathroom- the highlight of the house being the tub big enough for two... and of course the view.
â¶PRIVATE TERRACE & PANORAMIC STAR GAZING PLATFORMâ¶
This is the reason we bought the house. From the master bedroom you will exit to the outside terrace equipped with al fresco dining area. Golden hour will provide you with stunning relaxation here. If you are feeling like taking full advantage of the view or star gazing, go up to the raised platform (ladder access) which will provide you with the perfect spot for contemplating the universe from one of our hammocks or sunbeds.

Parties are not allowed without Duckling Stays approval. Two bicycles available for rental at the property. Electric car charger - extra electricity charges apply. We have everything covered!
