LOCATION
Cottages at Romar is located directly on a stretch of over 500' of pristine sugar white sand beach on Perdido Beach Blvd towards the west end of Orange Beach. The community is nestled among many other residential neighborhoods and private beach homes. The beach in this area is quieter and less crowded than other parts of our area. Cottages of Romar is gated and private, but only a short drive to all of the area's best restaurants, fun activities, and nightlife!

CLEAN BED GUARANTEE
All beds are dressed with fresh, luxurious sheets AND fresh bedding/quilts/comforters before EVERY rental! You are guaranteed to have a completely fresh and clean bed!!! You will also find each bathroom stocked with oversized fresh bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and bath mats straight from our laundry office! We started this in 2018 when we took our cleaning in house and created our housekeeping division. We have complete control over our property cleaning and maintenance.

WHAT WE STOCK
As common for vacation rentals in our area, we provide one round of bath soaps, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and toilet paper in the bathrooms. In the kitchen you will find one round of paper towels laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, and trash bags. These stocked amenities are intended to get you through the first night. We are not set up like a hotel so we do not provide daily housekeeping or amenity restocking. Please bring the extra items you will need for your vacation.

The house is very nice but I felt like some of the cookware needs to be replaced. The non stick pans were very worn. The kitchen was very well stocked except no large sheet pans. I would also recommend alerting guest if you do not supply kitchen towels more than 3 and no hot pads. I would also recommend cleaning living area upholstery and rug. But overall it was nice.

Spring break getaway

We had a wonderful time and made a lot of great memories. The house was beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing that was missing was a table on the upstairs deck. Would’ve been nice to gather or eat outside.

Wonderful family vacation for spring break

This house worked out great for our family of 7 adults and 5 children. The location is perfect with a short broadwalk to the private beach of white sand and beautiful gulf waters. The kitchen is well equipped allowing us to cook most meals. It is close to attractions, groceries and gas. The beds are extremely comfortable and well dressed. Bathrooms are great and private for each bedroom. The management is extremely responsive. We had an issue with internet access which they resolved quickly installing a Starlink. The whole development was quiet and well appointed. The only downside was the pool is not heated which made it a little chilly for our youngest.

Great Property For Large Groups

This was my family’s second visit to this property. Everyone loves that each bedroom has a bathroom. Lots of room and well appointed. The property manager very communicative and ready to help if any issues arise. The only opportunities we observed for improvement were replacing the worn patio furniture and also a worn table and rusting lamp in the master.

Family trip for wedding

This home was very clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. Bedrooms were very spacious with enough room for pack-n-plays without feeling crowded. Easy walk to the beach and pool was great for infants/toddlers. Nice surprise was that below the house in the parking area was a bathroom and a storage room stocked with a beach wagon, umbrellas, beach chairs and many beach toys. Great communication with host. Highly recommend.

Great week!

The kids loved the space outside if we weren’t at the beach, they loved the yard area. The bunk room was perfect for the boys. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. We enjoyed our time here.

Perfect Rental

The house was beautiful, providing space and privacy. Group of 9 stayed and did not feel crowded. Having the private pool for the houses was fantastic along with the private boardwalk to the beach with showers to clean up on the way to the house. The house had everything needed along with a grill and outdoor space. There is an additional refrigerator in the laundry room that was a huge help. Check in and out was done oner text message and was seamless. We loved Orange Beach and will make it a place to come again!

Beautiful Home!

The house, pool, and beach were beautiful! We had our family vacation here in May 2023 which consisted of 9 adults and an 18 month old. We had plenty of space and it was nice having a private bathroom for each bedroom. The pool was a lot of fun and family friendly, although it was very warm for the weather (like bath water). The beds also could have been better, they were so soft and felt old. All the other amenities were great! The community's section of private beach was awesome, clean, and spacious. Overall we all loved it and would stay here again.

Other than a couple mattresses that were past their prime, this place exceeded expectations! We had four couples and our children there for two nights and we already looking forward to coming back again! Winter escape

Family and friend getaway to escape the cold Midwest. This was the second time we stayed at this property. Lots of space to sprawl out and the amenities were so convenient, beautiful pool and super close to the beach. We will be back!

This is a great choice for those who want to be away from the party scene. Families who enjoy a large gated pool and private serene beach will like this property. It would also be a good choice a retreat group.

Excellent property and great location!

Property is in a great location in a gated beachside neighborhood in Orange Beach. near the western edge of Gulf State Park. 350ft walk to the beach and the resort style swimming pool was great for all ages. House looked even better in person than the online photos. Property management company had great communication and didn’t ask too much of the guests. They took care of nearly everything so we could relax and enjoy our vacation. Would definitely stay here again!

We’ll be back!

We really enjoyed this beautiful home and hope to stay at Top Shelf 11 again soon. The home was the perfect size for our crew. The views, comfortable beds throughout, the kitchen supplies, and the proximity to the pool AND beach are perfect! I compared this home to others in the neighborhood and it is one of the most beautifully decorated, and none of the others have a better walk to the beach than Top Shelf, except for the ones that are literally beachfront. We would like to suggest (and give future guests a heads up) that all the door handles need to be changed out or fixed. None of them lock. Not one. That can be an issue when sharing such a big home with lots of people. And the only complaint I have, personally, is that the shower head in the master suite shower is the worst in the whole house. When everyone came in from the beach and needed to shower, it wasn’t ideal having to wait for others to finish so we could use their shower. Now, the shower head won’t keep me from returning to this gorgeous home away from home, but I would LOVE to see it replaced when I do get to come back.

Two Nights at Too Shelf

We stayed a couple nights at Top Shelf and loved it! There were 18 of us total and the house felt like it was designed and built for our group. It was perfect! I definitely recommend it.
