Tradewinds #103 is an interior gulf-front 1 bedroom 2 bath condominium located on the 1st floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 800 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living area. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. There are 2 remodeled full baths with new comfort height toilets. The master has an en suite bathroom with standalone shower. This unit has a 1 car limit. Sleeps 6

Tradewinds is a 14 story building located in Orange Beach about 5.4 miles East of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Tradewinds has an indoor/outdoor swim-thru pool. The property also has a barbecue grilling area.

STAY AND PLAY

Deceiving Post

Upon arrival, I saw a a “Pool Closed” sign on the office door. I reviewed the VRBO post and saw nothing regarding the closure. I called management and was told it was on my contract. I reviewed the contract and after I scrolled down, in the same black and white print, there was a non-descript note of the closure. I feel this was extremely deceptive!! Otherwise, the complex and condo was correctly presented.

September getaway

Loved the closeness to the ocean and the view. Location was great, not too congested , but close to restaurants. Grounds were pretty and well kept. Security officer made frequent rounds and had office on site. Very nice ,quiet and family friendly.

Tradewinds

Tradewinds is old and in desperate need of repair. The outside has 2 different color paints..the entire building needs new paint. The stairwells are dark and not well lit. The threshold and push bars on stairwell doors are completely rusted. The concrete in hallways look old and dirty. Light fixtures in halls need to be replaced. Tiles around the pool are missing. The location is the best thing about the building. Our unit, 103, was tastefully decorated. The kitchen sink was rusted and dishwasher and stove looked dated. The bathrooms were extremely small. The couch had seen better days. We enjoyed our week on the beach but would not stay at Tradewinds again. The rental company was good to deal with.
